What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.

Can I hold dollars, pounds and euros in a Pryme account?

Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.

What is Spaces?

Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.

What do the agents on a Pryme Business Account do?

Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.

How does Pryme Pay work?

Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.

What are Savings Boxes?

Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.

Who holds my money, and is it protected?

Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.

Can I build on Pryme?

Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

What is Pryme?

How do I send money to Nigeria with Pryme?

Swap at a rate you set rather than the rate of the day, then send to any Pryme username or to a Nigerian bank account. There is no fee to send to another Pryme account.

NIMC enrolment centres in Port Harcourt

NIMC's 21 listed enrolment centres in Rivers State: the Aba Road state office, Port Harcourt and Obio-Akpor points, UNIPORT, and the LGA centres beyond.

The short answer

NIMC lists 21 enrolment centres in Rivers State (checked October 2026). The state office is at 238 Aba Road, Port Harcourt, and the city and Obio-Akpor have several more, including the city council secretariat on Azikiwe Road, UNIPORT's Abuja campus and a centre at Zenith Bank's regional office on Aba Road. Regular enrolment is free.

Port Harcourt city and Obio-Akpor

Most Port Harcourt residents live in Port Harcourt City or Obio-Akpor local government area, and that is where most of NIMC's Rivers centres are. The addresses are from NIMC's centre locator, checked in October 2026; the list is undated.

Several city centres are in churches, a town hall, a bank and a telecoms office. That spreads access, but each host keeps its own hours and security, so call ahead. NIMC's own enrolment hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.

NIMC's list names local government centres for only some parts of the state. If your area is not on it, the state office or the nearest listed secretariat is the likely option. NIMC's charter mentions mobile enrolment units for people who cannot reach a centre.

Services at the state office

Some services are easier at the Aba Road state office than at a satellite centre:

  • Modifications that need an officer to check documents, such as date of birth corrections.
  • Complaints the state coordinator can handle or pass on, which NIMC's charter says state offices take.
  • Payment for NIMC services at self-service terminals, which NIMC lists at its Port Harcourt office among others.

What to bring

  • One original supporting document. NIMC's accepted list includes a driver's licence, voter's card, passport, birth certificate, declaration of age, staff or school ID, and attestation letters from community, religious or traditional leaders.
  • Your BVN, if you have one.
  • For children, a parent's or guardian's NIN slip, the child's birth certificate or age declaration, and the child in person. See NIN for a baby or child.
  • For a correction: the original slip, the payment reference and a signed application letter.

Foreign residents in Rivers State

Foreign nationals who live and work in Rivers State can enrol at the same centres. NIMC's accepted documents include valid immigration documents, and section 17 of the NIMC (Establishment) Act 2026 says every citizen and resident of Nigeria is entitled to a NIN through enrolment. Bring your passport and residence documents. Refugees can enrol too: NIMC's list includes the refugee certificate and ID card issued through the National Commission for Refugees. After you leave the centre

Keep the transaction slip. NIMC says the NIN follows within 1 to 5 working days, depending on network, authentication and verification, and the slip is your proof if it takes longer. When the NIN is ready you can sign up on NINAuth, NIMC's identity app, which shows a digital ID card and lets you download the NIN slip free of charge. If nothing has arrived after the stated time, NIMC's call centre is 0700 2255 646 and its complaints portal is nimc.esupport.ng; see NIMC customer care.

NIMC's older web pages still show lower modification fees from before its May 2025 review, so go by the amount on your payment invoice. All payments should go through approved channels, never cash to an officer.

What to check first

  1. The centre is still on NIMC's locator.
  2. You are not already enrolled. *346# retrieves an existing NIN from the enrolment phone number.
  3. Your documents are originals.
  4. If you are also opening an account, your bank's BVN and NIN requirements; see linking your NIN to a bank account and centres by state.

Where is the NIMC office in Port Harcourt?

NIMC's Rivers state office is at 238 Aba Road, Port Harcourt. NIMC lists 20 other centres in the state.

Is there a NIN centre at UNIPORT?

Yes. NIMC lists a special centre at the Ebitimi Banigo Auditorium, Abuja Campus, University of Port Harcourt.

Can I do NIN registration in Rumuokoro or Rumuosi?

NIMC lists centres at Redeemed Church, Rumuosi, and All Saints Anglican Church, Rumuokwurusi, both in Obio-Akpor.

How much is NIN slip reissue in Port Harcourt?

NIMC's February 2026 Service Charter lists ₦600 for a lost or damaged slip at regular centres.
