Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals and follows up. Nothing leaves your account without your approval.
Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

BruceCareYour competitor down the road sells the same thing you sell. The difference is who walks in. We put money in people’s hands that can only be spent in businesses like yours — and then we point them at you.
You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

No card, no OTP, nothing for the buyer to type in. They transfer from the bank app they already use, and the money lands in the same account your agents are running — already matched to the order, already in your books.
We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Scope, IP assignment in writing, payment currency, withholding tax and an arbitration clause: the terms that protect a Dubai developer.
Put five things in writing before you start: a defined scope with acceptance tests, an IP clause (under Nigeria's Copyright Act 2022 an assignment has no effect unless written), the payment currency and who bears withholding tax, milestone payments, and a dispute clause naming arbitration with a seat. Nigeria and the UAE are both New York Convention states, so an award is generally easier to enforce against a Lagos startup than a foreign court judgment.
Lagos startups hire senior engineers wherever they can find them, and Dubai has a deep pool of Nigerian developers. The work is often good and the teams familiar. The risk sits in the paperwork: a one-line offer on a messaging app, a verbal agreement on rates, nothing on who owns the code. This guide walks through the clauses that matter most when you are in the UAE and the client is a Nigerian company.
Decide first. If you are a contractor under your Dubai freelance permit or free-zone licence, you invoice; the startup does not run payroll for you. If the startup wants to control your hours, give you equipment and treat you like staff, that is closer to employment, which raises Nigerian PAYE and pension questions; see pension and PAYE when a Nigerian company employs you in Dubai. Your contract should say clearly which it is, and your UAE licence must cover software development as an activity.
Describe deliverables by outcome, not by hours alone: "payments API with these endpoints, tested against this suite". Add an acceptance period (for example, five working days after delivery) after which the work is deemed accepted if the client says nothing. This is what triggers each payment.
Nigeria's Copyright Act 2022, as summarised by Esher & Makarios on Mondaq, makes copyright transferable by assignment, allows partial assignment by act, period or territory, and says an assignment or exclusive licence has no effect unless it is in writing (s.30(3)). Owning the files does not give copyright (s.30(7)). Startups need a written assignment because investors check it in due diligence. You want it to take effect on full payment, and to carve out your pre-existing tools and open-source components, which you licence rather than assign.
Name the currency, the invoice cycle and the days to pay. The CBN's FX Manual 2026, as reported by TheCable, makes naira the legal tender for transactions within Nigeria; a dollar fee to a non-resident contractor is a cross-border payment that the startup makes from its own domiciliary account or buys through its bank with documents such as the contract, invoice and evidence of tax paid, which Stanbic IBTC lists for contract service fees. Venture-backed startups may hold dollars; early ones may not. Our guide to quoting in naira or dollars from the UAE sets out the trade-off.
A Nigerian company paying a non-resident for professional, consultancy or technical services deducts 10% under the 2024 withholding regulations, according to PwC, which describes the deduction as final tax for non-resident companies. Without a Nigerian Tax ID the rate can double. Agree whether your rate is gross or net, and ask for the withholding receipt with each payment.
A UAE court judgment against a Lagos startup has to be registered in Nigeria under the foreign judgments regime, generally within 12 months, and Streamsowers & Köhn's guide gives no list confirming which countries qualify. An arbitral award is different: the Arbitration and Mediation Act 2023 brings in the New York Convention, and UNCITRAL's status table shows Nigeria (since 1970) and the UAE (since 2006) as contracting states. Nigeria applies it to awards from other contracting states on commercial matters. A clause naming arbitration, a seat (Lagos is common) and the rules is usually the more practical choice. See governing law with a Nigerian client.
Fintech and health startups handle personal data. Expect a data-processing clause and, from regulated clients, security conditions on how you access production systems. Ask for access through the startup's own accounts and devices policy rather than copying data to your laptop, and agree in the contract that your access is removed on the last day. That protects you as much as them if something goes wrong after you leave.
Example only: a 12-week build at US$12,000, split into three milestones, quoted gross of withholding tax.
| Milestone | Invoice | WHT at 10% | Received |
|---|---|---|---|
| Architecture and staging build accepted | US$3,000 | US$300 | US$2,700 |
| Core features accepted | US$5,000 | US$500 | US$4,500 |
| Production launch accepted | US$4,000 | US$400 | US$3,600 |
| Total | US$12,000 | US$1,200 | US$10,800 |
If the contract had said net of tax, the startup would gross up each invoice so you still receive US$12,000. Bank charges on international transfers come on top; state who pays them.
A Pryme Business Account opened from Dubai holds NGN, USD, GBP and EUR with local account details for each, so a startup can pay you in dollars or naira and the money stays in the currency it arrived in. Invoicing issues milestone invoices, and the Finance agent can match payments to WHT receipts for you to review.
Unless a written assignment says otherwise, the author usually keeps copyright; Nigeria's Copyright Act 2022 says an assignment has no effect unless it is in writing.
Usually yes: 10% withholding tax on professional or technical fees to a non-resident under the 2024 regulations, per PwC. Agree gross or net in the contract.
Think about enforcement: the startup's assets are in Nigeria. Arbitration with a clear seat is often more practical, because both countries are New York Convention states.
Yes, from its own domiciliary account or by buying FX through its bank with documents. Some early-stage startups find that slow and prefer naira.
