Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

BruceCareYour competitor down the road sells the same thing you sell. The difference is who walks in. We put money in people’s hands that can only be spent in businesses like yours — and then we point them at you.
You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Gifts from family in Nigeria are not US income, but pay, rent and interest are, and large gifts must be reported. A plain guide to which is which.
It depends on what the money is. A gift or inheritance from a person in Nigeria is not income for US tax, though a US person who receives more than $100,000 in a year from foreign individuals or estates must report it on Form 3520. Money you earn from Nigeria, such as salary, freelance fees, rent, pension or interest, is part of the worldwide income US citizens and residents are taxed on.
US tax looks at what a payment is, not where it came from or which app carried it. The same $2,000 from Lagos can be a gift from your mother, a repayment of money you lent your brother, or a fee from a Nigerian client. Only the last is income. Sort each inflow into one of these groups and most of the answer follows.
| What the money is | US income tax? | Reporting to note |
|---|---|---|
| Gift from a family member or friend in Nigeria | No | Form 3520 if gifts from foreign individuals exceed $100,000 in the year |
| Inheritance from a Nigerian estate | No | Form 3520 under the same $100,000 test |
| Gift from a Nigerian company or partnership | Rules differ | Form 3520 from a much lower threshold: $20,573 for 2026 |
| Salary or freelance fees from Nigeria | Yes | Report in US dollars on your return |
| Rent from Nigerian property | Yes | Report; foreign tax credit may apply |
| Interest or dividends in Nigeria | Yes | Report; FBAR if accounts exceed $10,000 |
| Your own savings moved from Nigeria | No (it is already yours) | Income it earned along the way is taxable |
The IRS page on gifts from foreign persons (updated 17 April 2026) says plainly that Form 3520 is an information return, not a tax return, “because foreign gifts are not subject to income tax.” A gift from a nonresident alien is reportable only when the total from that person and related foreign persons passes $100,000 in a tax year. Family members are usually related, so gifts from both parents count together. The same page sets a far lower threshold for purported gifts from foreign corporations and partnerships: $20,116 for 2025 and $20,573 for 2026. A “gift” from a family company is therefore treated very differently from a gift from your aunt.
Late or missing reporting is costly. The penalty is 5% of the gift for each month it goes unreported, up to 25%, unless you have reasonable cause, and the IRS can then decide the income tax consequences itself. Our Form 3520 guide covers the filing steps.
IRS Publication 54 (December 2025) states that a US citizen or resident alien’s worldwide income is generally subject to US income tax, wherever they live, and that amounts must be reported in US dollars. That covers a Nigerian salary, consulting fees paid in naira, rent from a flat in Abuja, a pension from your PFA and interest on a Nigerian fixed deposit.
If Nigeria taxed the same income, the IRS foreign tax credit (Form 1116) may reduce the US tax, because it is available to individuals who paid foreign income taxes on income also taxed in the US. There is no US–Nigeria income tax treaty to set reduced rates; Nigeria does not appear on the IRS treaty list updated 3 January 2026.
Money a relative in Nigeria sends back to repay a loan you made is not income either, as long as it really was a loan. A short written note of the loan when you made it, and of each repayment, is the evidence. Interest you charged on that loan is income. The same logic applies when family send money for you to spend on their behalf, such as a sibling’s US tuition: keep a note of what it was for.
Separate from income tax, the IRS FBAR page says a US person whose foreign accounts together exceeded $10,000 at any time in the year files FinCEN Form 114, online through the BSA E-Filing system and not with the tax return. Publication 54 adds that Form 8938 may also apply, with thresholds that depend on where you live and how you file. Nigerian accounts count, whether naira or domiciliary. This is information, not tax advice, and a preparer who handles foreign income is worth the fee in a year with large or mixed inflows.
Clear records make every question above easier. A Pryme Personal Account keeps naira and dollars in separate balances with their own account details, and each incoming payment shows its sender and amount. You can generate verifiable statements through our partner VerifyDoc.ai when a preparer or bank asks what money is. See the multicurrency account.
No, a gift is not income. If gifts from foreign individuals exceed $100,000 in a tax year you must report them on Form 3520.
Moving your own savings is not income, but interest or other income those savings earned is taxable for US citizens and residents.
Yes, if you are a US citizen or resident. Publication 54 says worldwide income is generally subject to US tax.
Gifts from foreign corporations or partnerships have a lower reporting threshold: $20,573 for 2026, per the IRS.
