Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals and follows up. Nothing leaves your account without your approval.
Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

No card, no OTP, nothing for the buyer to type in. They transfer from the bank app they already use, and the money lands in the same account your agents are running — already matched to the order, already in your books.
We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

PalmPay says it is a CBN-licensed mobile money operator with NDIC-insured deposits. What that covers, what it does not, and how to protect your account.
PalmPay describes itself on its App Store listing as "fully licensed and regulated as a Mobile Money Operator by the Central Bank of Nigeria", and says deposits are insured by the NDIC. As reported in March 2026, NDIC cover for mobile money operators is up to ₦5 million per depositor, so a balance above that is not fully protected if the operator fails. Insurance does not cover fraud you authorise, so account security still matters.
Palmpay Limited, the company behind the app, states on its Nigerian App Store listing (version 7.17.0, checked October 2026) that it is "fully licensed and regulated as a Mobile Money Operator by the Central Bank of Nigeria". A mobile money operator (MMO) is a different category from a commercial bank or a microfinance bank. It can hold customer balances in e-wallets and move money, but its rules on lending and on how customer funds are held differ from those of a deposit-taking bank.
PalmPay's own campaign material, reported by Nairametrics on 3 September 2026, repeats that it is licensed by the CBN and that "eligible" customer deposits are insured by the NDIC. The parent, PalmPay Group, is described in the same report as founded in 2019 and headquartered in Hong Kong. You can check any licence claim yourself against the CBN's published lists; our guide on how to check whether a fintech is CBN-licensed walks through it.
Loans inside the app are a separate matter. The App Store listing says loans are offered "through Blooms MFB Ltd", so the lender is a microfinance bank, not PalmPay itself. On the FCCPC's digital lenders page (modified 3 March 2026), PalmPay appears on the list of CBN-licensed firms granted a waiver from FCCPC registration. Apps with similar names, such as PalmCredit, are listed under different companies, so do not assume they are the same business.
Deposit insurance pays you back, up to a limit, if a licensed institution fails and cannot return customers' money. In July 2024 Nairametrics listed PalmPay among 18 mobile money operators shown as insured in the NDIC database, and reported that the NDIC had raised cover for mobile money customers from ₦500,000 to ₦5 million per customer. In March 2026 Voice of Nigeria quoted the NDIC's managing director giving the current limits below.
| Type of institution | NDIC cover per depositor (as reported Mar 2026) |
|---|---|
| Commercial (deposit money) banks | ₦5 million |
| Primary mortgage banks and mobile money operators | ₦5 million |
| Microfinance banks | ₦2 million |
Cover for mobile money is generally described as pass-through: the protection is meant to reach the individual wallet holder, not just the operator. The exact mechanics are set by the NDIC, and our explainer on NDIC insurance limits covers how a payout works. Two practical points follow:
Example only. Suppose Bola keeps ₦3.2 million in her PalmPay wallet and ₦2.5 million in a separate savings feature in the same account. If both count as deposits with the same operator, her total is ₦5.7 million. At a ₦5 million limit, ₦700,000 would sit above the cover (₦5.7 million minus ₦5 million). Spreading balances across separately licensed institutions is the usual way to keep each one within the limit.
For most users the bigger risk is account takeover, not the operator failing. The common routes are well known: fake customer care lines, SIM swaps that let a criminal receive your codes, and people who watch you type a PIN. Our guides on fake customer care scams and SIM swap fraud explain the warning signs.
PalmPay has published tools aimed at these risks. The September 2026 report describes a Security Center with Location Guard, which lets you register up to six trusted locations so access from elsewhere is flagged, and NightGuard, which adds protection during periods you choose. It also gives two emergency codes: *861*12# to lock the account and *861*7*5# to lock the card, for when a phone or card is lost.
Three worries come up again and again in searches about PalmPay. The first is that a foreign-owned app is less safe. Ownership does not change the licence: an operator licensed by the CBN in Nigeria is supervised in Nigeria, whoever the shareholders are. The second is that a fintech can vanish with customer money. That is what deposit insurance is for, up to the limit above, and why it matters that PalmPay appears among insured operators. The third is that the CBN has paused or penalised fintechs in the past. Regulatory action against any operator is public, so check recent news and the CBN's own notices before moving large sums, and keep enough in a second institution to manage for a few weeks if one account is unavailable.
Pryme Financial Ltd is a technology company, not a bank. Naira deposits on Pryme are held by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Ltd, licensed by the CBN and insured by the NDIC up to the applicable limit. Some readers keep a second account at a separate institution to stay within insurance limits. Pryme's security setup uses an authenticator app rather than SMS codes, plus a transaction PIN. You can open an account from any country.
PalmPay says deposits are insured by the NDIC, and it was listed among NDIC-insured mobile money operators in 2024. As reported in March 2026, the cover limit for mobile money operators is ₦5 million per depositor.
No. PalmPay describes itself as a mobile money operator licensed by the CBN. Loans in the app are offered through Blooms MFB Ltd, according to its App Store listing.
If a licensed, insured operator fails, the NDIC pays depositors up to the limit for that type of institution. Anything above the limit is not insured.
No. Deposit insurance covers the failure of an institution, not transfers you authorised or fraud after your PIN is stolen. Report fraud to PalmPay at once and lock the account with *861*12#.
