Questions

The things people ask us first.

What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.

Can I hold dollars, pounds and euros in a Pryme account?

Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.

What is Spaces?

Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.

What do the agents on a Pryme Business Account do?

Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.

How does Pryme Pay work?

Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.

What are Savings Boxes?

Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.

Who holds my money, and is it protected?

Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.

Can I build on Pryme?

Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives you one account that holds US dollars, pounds sterling and euros beside Naira, with an assistant that runs the account for you and asks before anything moves. Accounts are provided in Nigeria today, and further markets open as each licence lands.

Can I open a Pryme account from outside Nigeria?

Accounts are provided in Nigeria today, subject to verification and approval. Foreign-currency balances are held and converted inside that account, so you can hold, receive and swap dollars, pounds and euros wherever you are.

Which currencies can I hold with Pryme?

Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros, side by side on one ledger. Each has its own details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area — and each has its own statement.

How do I send money to Nigeria with Pryme?

Swap at a rate you set rather than the rate of the day, then send to any Pryme username or to a Nigerian bank account. There is no fee to send to another Pryme account.

What does the assistant do?

Eva is the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals, pays what is due and follows up what is owed to you — and asks you before anything moves.

What is Pryme Rails?

Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

How to cancel Glo data auto-renewal

How to stop a Glo data plan renewing itself: the NCC's universal stop code, the data menu, customer care, and how to confirm it is really off.

The short answer

Dial *312#, the NCC's universal data plan code, and look for the option to stop or cancel auto-renewal on your active plan, or use 305, the NCC's harmonised code for stopping services. If neither shows an option, call Glo on 300 and ask for auto-renewal to be removed, then confirm by checking that no plan is bought from your airtime when the current one expires.

Auto-renewal is convenient until it is not. A Glo data plan that renews itself can take airtime you meant for calls, or buy a plan you no longer need. Stopping it is usually quick, but the exact menu wording changes, and it is worth checking that the change has actually taken effect. This guide covers the routes and how to confirm.

How auto-renewal works

When a plan is set to renew, the network tries to buy the same plan again from your airtime when the current one runs out. If you have enough airtime, it goes through; if not, it may try again later. Some plans are set to renew when you buy them, and the confirmation SMS often says so. If you are not sure whether your plan renews, check that message first.

Steps to stop it

  1. Try the data menu. Dial *312#, the NCC's harmonised code for data plans on every network. Look for an option such as manage plan, stop auto-renewal or opt out, and select it for your active plan.
  2. Try the stop code. The NCC's harmonised list gives 305 as the universal code to stop a service. Follow the prompts to select data auto-renewal if it is listed.
  3. Use Glo Self Care or customer care. Glo's support page lists Self Care on 500 (5001 for English, 5002 Yoruba, 5003 Hausa, 5004 Igbo) and the prepaid call centre on 300 or 0805 002 0121. Ask the agent to remove auto-renewal from your data plan and to confirm by SMS.
  4. Keep the confirmation. Screenshot the SMS or write down the time and the agent's reference.

How to confirm it is off

A confirmation message is a good sign, but the real test is what happens when the plan ends.

  • Note your airtime balance before your plan expires, using *310#, the NCC's harmonised balance code.
  • After the expiry date, check your airtime again. If the plan's price has not been taken, the renewal is off.
  • Check your data balance with *323#. If a new plan of the same size appears, it has renewed.
  • If it renewed after you cancelled, contact Glo with the reference from your cancellation.

A worked example of what renewal can cost

Suppose, as an example, you buy a ₦1,000 monthly plan that is set to renew, and you only needed it for one month. If renewal stays on and you keep enough airtime on the line, the plan is bought again each month:

Example: months renewed without meaning to
3
Example: cost each month
₦1,000
Airtime used
₦1,000 × 3 = ₦3,000

This is why it is worth cancelling at the point you buy, if the menu offers it, rather than after the first renewal.

Other subscriptions that look like auto-renewal

Airtime can also disappear through value-added services, such as content or caller tune subscriptions, which are not the same as data auto-renewal. The 305 stop code covers those too. For a full walkthrough, see how to stop Glo subscriptions. If airtime is still being taken and Glo does not resolve it, you can escalate; escalating a Glo complaint to the NCC explains the steps.

If you want renewal on

Auto-renewal suits people who use the same plan every month and want to avoid a gap. If you keep it, make sure you top up before the renewal date so it does not fail, and recheck the plan's price from time to time on Glo's current data plans.

Airtel customers can follow the Airtel auto-renewal guide.

What to check first

  • Which plan is active, and when it expires (*323#)
  • Whether the confirmation SMS said the plan would renew
  • How much airtime is on the line before expiry (*310#)
  • Whether you have any other subscriptions taking airtime

If you manage lines for family members, check each one separately: auto-renewal is set per line, and cancelling on your own SIM does nothing for theirs. Each person needs to dial the codes from their own phone, or call customer care from that line, so the request is tied to the right number.

Where Pryme fits

Buying data as you need it through airtime and data in the Pryme app means each purchase is one you approve, with the price shown first. A Personal Account customer's Personal Assistant can remind you when a plan is due to run out, without buying anything on its own.

Questions people ask

How do I stop Glo data from renewing automatically?

Dial *312# and look for the option to stop auto-renewal on your active plan, or use 305, the NCC's universal stop code. If no option appears, call Glo on 300 and ask for it to be removed.

What is the Glo code to cancel auto-renewal?

We could not confirm a dedicated Glo opt-out code on Glo's own pages in October 2026. Use the *312# data menu, the 305 stop code or customer care on 300.

How do I know Glo auto-renewal is cancelled?

Keep the confirmation SMS, then check your airtime with *310# and data with *323# after the plan expires. If no new plan was bought, renewal is off.

Glo keeps taking my airtime after I cancelled. What can I do?

Contact Glo with your cancellation reference and ask for a refund. If it is not resolved, you can escalate to the NCC through 622.
