Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

BruceCareYour competitor down the road sells the same thing you sell. The difference is who walks in. We put money in people’s hands that can only be spent in businesses like yours — and then we point them at you.
You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

No card, no OTP, nothing for the buyer to type in. They transfer from the bank app they already use, and the money lands in the same account your agents are running — already matched to the order, already in your books.
We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

What a frozen foods shop in Nigeria costs to start: freezers, grid and generator power, stock turnover and spoilage risk, with a naira example.
A frozen foods shop needs chest freezers, a reliable power plan and enough working capital for chicken, turkey and fish stock, and power is usually the cost that decides profit. With grid electricity on Band A priced at ₦209.50 per kWh under NERC's July 2025 order for Ikeja Electric and petrol averaging ₦1,596.25 a litre in May 2026, an hour of generator running costs far more than an hour of grid supply, so stock turnover and power hours must be planned together.
Most frozen foods shops sell chicken (whole and parts), turkey, fish such as titus and hake, beef, sausages and sometimes ice cream, chips and ice blocks. Customers include households, food sellers, restaurants and caterers. The model is simple: buy in cartons from a cold room or distributor, store frozen, and sell by the kilo, the piece or the carton.
Poultry is on Nigeria's import prohibition list, according to the US International Trade Administration's guide to Nigeria's prohibited imports. Frozen chicken offered at unusually low prices may have come in illegally and may have been thawed and refrozen on the way. Buy from known local processors and distributors, and keep their invoices.
Freezer and shop prices vary by brand, size and city. The table is an example for a small shop; get quotes before you plan.
| Item | Example cost |
|---|---|
| Two large chest freezers | ₦1,400,000 |
| Petrol generator (backup) | ₦450,000 |
| Stabiliser and wiring | ₦120,000 |
| Scale, knives, cutting board, nylon | ₦80,000 |
| First stock (chicken, turkey, fish) | ₦900,000 |
| Shop rent and fittings (first period) | ₦600,000 |
| Total (example) | ₦3,550,000 |
Many owners also consider solar with batteries to cut generator hours. The upfront cost is high, so compare it with what you would spend on petrol over two or three years, using your own quotes.
Frozen stock must stay frozen. A freezer that warms up overnight and refreezes in the morning damages texture and shortens safe life, even if the food looks fine. Plan for three scenarios: grid supply, generator, and outages when neither is running.
This is an example. Check your freezer's label for its real daily consumption and your generator's real fuel use.
| Source | Assumption | Daily cost |
|---|---|---|
| Grid (Band A) | 2 freezers × 2.5 kWh a day = 5 kWh at ₦209.50 | ₦1,047.50 |
| Generator | 4 hours a day at 1 litre an hour = 4 litres at ₦1,596.25 | ₦6,385 |
| Total for a day with both | ₦7,432.50 |
Over 30 days that is about ₦223,000 if every day looks like this, before any maintenance on the generator. If your area gets good grid supply and you can cut generator use to one hour a day, the generator line falls to about ₦1,596 a day. That is why location and feeder band matter as much as rent. The Band A figure is from NERC's July 2025 order for Ikeja Electric; check your own DisCo's current tariff and band, and today's pump price.
This is an example. Suppose you buy 10 cartons of chicken parts at ₦60,000 each (₦600,000) and sell them by the kilo for ₦69,000 a carton equivalent. If all 10 sell, gross margin is ₦90,000. If one carton spoils during an outage, revenue falls to ₦621,000 and gross margin to ₦21,000. Take a week's generator cost of about ₦44,700 from our power example and the week makes a loss. Power and spoilage control, not the selling price, is where this business is won or lost.
Households buy small quantities often, usually at weekends and before festive periods. Food sellers, canteens, caterers and small restaurants buy larger quantities on a schedule and are the customers that make a frozen foods shop steady. They care about three things: that the product is properly frozen, that weights are honest, and that you have stock when they need it. Offer to cut and portion to their needs, keep a short list of their usual orders, and call ahead when prices change rather than surprising them at the counter. A regular buyer who trusts your scale will put up with a small price rise; one who suspects short weight will leave quietly.
For larger storage, see our planned guide to cold room business costs, and for selling ice from the same freezers, the ice block business.
Grocery and retail shops with a Pryme Business Account in Lagos, Abuja or Port Harcourt can apply to join Spaces. Prepaid meters can be topped up through electricity bill payments in the app.
A small shop with two freezers, a backup generator and first stock can run to a few million naira; our example totalled ₦3,550,000. Get local quotes first.
It can be, but power costs and spoilage decide profit. In our example one spoiled carton and a week of generator fuel turned a profitable week into a loss.
It depends on your generator's fuel use. At 1 litre an hour and ₦1,596.25 a litre (NBS average, May 2026), four hours a day costs ₦6,385. Check today's pump price.
