Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals and follows up. Nothing leaves your account without your approval.
Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

BruceCareYour competitor down the road sells the same thing you sell. The difference is who walks in. We put money in people’s hands that can only be spent in businesses like yours — and then we point them at you.
You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

No card, no OTP, nothing for the buyer to type in. They transfer from the bank app they already use, and the money lands in the same account your agents are running — already matched to the order, already in your books.
We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

A text that says you have been paid is not proof of payment. How fake alerts work in Nigeria and the one check that settles it every time.
A fake credit alert is a message made to look like your bank's notification so you release goods or cash before any money has arrived. The only reliable check is your actual balance: open your banking app or dial your bank's balance code yourself and confirm the credit is there before you hand anything over. Never rely on an SMS, an email, a screenshot or the buyer's word.
In Nigeria most bank transfers arrive within moments and trigger an SMS or push notification. Fraudsters copy that format. They send a text that looks like it came from your bank, show you a screenshot of a 'successful' transfer, or use an app that generates a convincing debit receipt. The goal is the same each time: get you to give out goods, cash or a service before you notice no money has landed.
Fake alerts target anyone who sells in person: market traders, POS agents, phone and laptop sellers, car dealers, landlords collecting rent and people selling items online who meet buyers face to face. They work best when you are busy, when the buyer is in a hurry, and late in the day.
SMS sender names can be faked. A message showing your bank's name as the sender, with the right layout and a plausible balance, can still come from a fraudster's phone. Some even quote a 'balance' that is higher than yours to make you feel richer and less careful.
A screenshot of a transfer screen proves nothing. Editing apps and fake-receipt generators can produce an image with any amount, name, date and reference number. A PDF receipt can be altered just as easily.
The buyer says the transfer has gone through but 'the network is slow' or 'it will reflect in 24 hours', and asks you to release the goods now. A transfer that has not reached you has not paid you. Most transfers between Nigerian banks move through instant payment rails; our explainer on NIP instant payments covers how.
Example only. Chika sells phones in a busy plaza. A buyer picks a ₦380,000 handset, says he has sent the money and shows a 'Transfer successful' screen. Seconds later Chika's phone buzzes with an SMS that looks like her bank's alert for ₦380,000. She opens her bank app: the last credit is ₦12,500 from earlier that morning. She tells the buyer she will release the phone once the money shows. He says his 'network' is slow, then leaves. Total loss: nothing, because she checked the balance rather than the message.
| Red flag | What it usually means |
|---|---|
| Buyer insists on transfer and is in a hurry | Pressure so you skip checks |
| Alert arrives at the same second the buyer shows a screen | A message sent from their own phone or app |
| Balance in the SMS does not match your app | Spoofed message |
| 'It will reflect later' | No transfer has been made, or it will be reversed |
| Buyer asks you to send back an 'overpayment' | A refund scam built on a fake credit |
If a buyer claims they overpaid and asks for the difference back, treat it the same way: check the balance, and if a real excess has arrived, read our guide on money sent to your account by mistake before you return anything.
A fake alert only has to beat the least careful person at your till. If an apprentice, a sales girl or a family member sometimes collects payment, make sure they can see the account (or call you to check) and that they know the rule applies to everyone, including regular customers and people who seem important. Agree a simple line they can use, such as 'Our system has not shown it yet, please wait a moment', so nobody feels rude for checking. Review the day's credits against sales every evening; a gap spotted the same day is far easier to report than one found at month end.
Write down everything while it is fresh: the time, the buyer's description, the phone number used, the account name on any screenshot, and any CCTV in the area. Report it to the police and keep the reference. Our guide to reporting fraud to the police and EFCC sets out what to bring. If you think your own account details were used, tell your bank at once. For a full first-hour plan, see what to do after fraud.
On Pryme you check credits in the app, which is the only place that counts. When a customer pays you and wants proof, or you pay someone and they want proof, Pryme and VerifyDoc.ai let you generate a verifiable receipt that the other person can check is genuine and unaltered, rather than trusting a screenshot. Businesses taking many transfers can use virtual accounts so each payment is easier to match. See how the app is secured on our security page.
It can show any number the fraudster types. Some guess, some show a figure higher than yours. Only the balance inside your banking app or from your bank's own balance code counts.
Most transfers between Nigerian banks arrive within moments, though delays do happen. If money has not arrived, the safe answer is to wait, not to release goods on a promise.
A plain screenshot or PDF can be edited. Treat it as a claim. A receipt you can verify with the issuer, or the credit in your own account, is proof.
Note every detail, gather any CCTV, report to the police and keep the reference. If the buyer used a real account, give that account number to your bank and the police.
