Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.

You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

No card, no OTP, nothing for the buyer to type in. They transfer from the bank app they already use, and the money lands in the same account your agents are running — already matched to the order, already in your books.
We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

When you stop paying, interest can be charged on interest. See month by month how a ₦100,000 balance grows, and the steps that stop the growth.
When interest is added to an unpaid balance and the next month's interest is charged on that larger total, you pay interest on interest, so the debt grows faster each month. In a labelled example at 5% a month, ₦100,000 grows to about ₦134,010 after six months and about ₦179,586 after a year, before any late fees.
Many borrowers who fall behind are shocked by how fast the figure in the app climbs. Usually two things are happening at once: interest is being added to the balance, and separate late charges are stacking on top. This guide isolates the first effect, compounding, so you can see how it behaves and what you can do about it. Whether compounding applies at all depends on your loan agreement, so read the terms first.
With simple interest, each month's charge is worked on the original amount. With compound interest, each month's charge is worked on the balance including interest already added. The difference is small at first and large later.
| Month (example: ₦100,000 at 5% a month, nothing repaid) | Simple balance | Compound balance |
|---|---|---|
| 0 | ₦100,000 | ₦100,000.00 |
| 1 | ₦105,000 | ₦105,000.00 |
| 2 | ₦110,000 | ₦110,250.00 |
| 3 | ₦115,000 | ₦115,762.50 |
| 4 | ₦120,000 | ₦121,550.63 |
| 5 | ₦125,000 | ₦127,628.16 |
| 6 | ₦130,000 | ₦134,009.56 |
| 12 | ₦160,000 | ₦179,585.63 |
After six months compounding has added about ₦4,010 more than simple interest would. After twelve months the gap is about ₦19,586. The formula is balance = amount × (1 + monthly rate) raised to the number of months; at 5% a month, 1.05 to the power of 12 is about 1.796.
The last point catches many people. In the example, month one's interest is ₦5,000. Paying ₦3,000 that month still leaves the balance at ₦102,000, and the next month's interest is charged on that.
For digital lenders, the FCCPC's 2025 consumer lending regulations say interest, fees or charges may vary only where the loan agreement expressly provides for it, and lenders must itemise penalties for late or non-payment. The regulations contain no explicit cap on interest and do not expressly ban interest on interest, though the FCCPC says it will monitor whether rates are exploitative. Check the regulations' current enforcement status. This is information, not legal advice.
Some lenders add interest daily rather than monthly. The effect is slightly larger. In a labelled example, 5% a month added as one-thirtieth each day for 180 days turns ₦100,000 into about ₦134,952, against ₦134,010 with monthly compounding. The difference is under ₦1,000 here; the rate and the time unpaid matter far more than how often interest is added.
Labelled example. You stopped paying for six months and now owe ₦134,009.56, still at 5% a month. If you restart at ₦20,000 a month, the balance is cleared in nine payments totalling about ₦167,362, so roughly ₦33,352 of that is further interest. If the lender agrees in writing to freeze interest at ₦134,009.56, the same ₦20,000 a month clears it in seven payments, the last one smaller. That is why a written freeze is worth asking for before you start repaying, not after.
Any payment that covers more than the month's interest starts shrinking the balance, and every naira of principal you clear also cuts future interest. If you cannot pay in full, contact the lender before the balance grows further and ask for a written settlement or a payment plan that freezes interest. See how to negotiate a settlement with a loan app and what happens when you default on a loan app. If you are being harassed while you sort it out, read your rights against loan app harassment.
When you owe several lenders, list each balance with its monthly rate and whether it compounds. Every extra naira should go to the debt growing fastest, while you keep at least the agreed minimum going to the others. Clearing a small compounding balance can save more than chipping at a large simple one, because each month it stays open the interest grows on itself.
If you hold a Loan on Spaces, the agreement you accepted states the cost and repayment date. Our guide Missed a Loans on Spaces repayment? explains what happens next and who to contact.
It depends on the loan agreement. The FCCPC's 2025 regulations do not expressly ban it, but charges may only vary where the agreement provides for it. Read your terms and ask for an itemised statement.
Your payments may be smaller than the interest and fees added each month, so the balance still grows. Pay at least the month's interest plus something towards principal.
Multiply the balance by one plus the monthly rate for each month unpaid. At 5% a month, ₦100,000 becomes about ₦134,010 in six months, before fees.
Pay more than the monthly interest, ideally clear the principal, or agree a written plan with the lender that freezes further interest.
