Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

A labelled cost for a 10kg-flour batch of chin chin, what flour costs as reported by bakers, fryer choices, packaging and NAFDAC.
In our labelled example, a batch made from 10kg of flour fills about 110 packs of 100g at roughly ₦420 a pack and sells to shops at ₦600, leaving about ₦19,800 before labour. Flour is the base cost: the bakers' association put a 50kg bag at ₦55,000 to ₦62,000 in December 2025. Shops and supermarkets will usually want a NAFDAC number before they stock you.
Chin chin is fried dough made from flour, sugar, fat, eggs or milk, and a little flavouring such as nutmeg. Anyone can fry it; the business is in getting the same crunch, size and sweetness every time, keeping it crisp for weeks in a sealed pack, and delivering on schedule. Most producers start at home with parties, offices and neighbours, then move to schools, kiosks and small supermarkets once they have a label and a NAFDAC number.
Decide early which buyer you are building for. Party orders pay well per kilo but come in bursts. Shop supply is steadier but pays less per pack and needs proper packaging, a best-before date and registration.
Flour is your largest dry cost and the one that changes most often. In a December 2025 statement reported by Daily Trust, the Premium Breadmakers Association of Nigeria said a 50kg bag of flour sold for ₦55,000 to ₦62,000 depending on brand and location. That works out at roughly ₦1,100 to ₦1,240 per kilo. Check your own market before costing; prices move with the naira and wheat imports.
Example only. These are illustrative prices, not quotes. The flour line uses ₦1,200 a kilo, within the range the bakers' association reported. Replace every line with what you pay.
| Cost line (example) | Amount |
|---|---|
| Flour, 10kg at ₦1,200/kg | ₦12,000 |
| Sugar, 2kg | ₦3,600 |
| Margarine, 1kg | ₦3,000 |
| Eggs, 10 | ₦2,500 |
| Milk powder, nutmeg, baking powder | ₦2,000 |
| Frying oil, 5 litres | ₦12,500 |
| Gas | ₦4,000 |
| 110 pouches and labels at ₦60 | ₦6,600 |
| Total | ₦46,200 |
Cost per 100g pack: ₦46,200 ÷ 110 = about ₦420. Your real pack count depends on dough weight, moisture lost in frying and how much breaks; weigh what you get from your first three batches.
| Selling route (example) | Price per pack | Revenue | Left over after ₦46,200 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wholesale to shops | ₦600 | ₦66,000 | ₦19,800 |
| Direct to customers | ₦800 | ₦88,000 | ₦41,800 |
The leftover is before your labour, delivery, broken packs and the cost of equipment wearing out. If the wholesale line does not cover those, either raise volume, cut oil use or sell more direct.
Small producers start with a deep pot on a gas burner. It works, but oil temperature swings and you can fry only small loads. As volume grows, many move to a gas or electric deep fryer with a thermostat, which gives a steadier colour and less oil soaked into the dough. A dough mixer and a cutting machine save hours once you are making several batches a week. Prices for fryers and cutters vary widely by size and whether they are imported or locally fabricated, so get at least three written quotes and ask what spare parts cost.
Moisture is the enemy. Pack only when the chin chin is completely cool; warm chin chin sweats in the pouch and goes soft. Heat-sealed pouches or rigid plastic tubs with tight lids keep it crisp longer than tied nylon. Your label should show the product name, net weight, ingredients, your business name and address, a batch number and a best-before date. Supermarkets will look for a NAFDAC number. Note that Lagos began enforcing a ban on single-use nylon below 40 microns in July 2025, so avoid thin carrier bags for retail packs sold there; see our guide to nylon bags and the Lagos ban.
Packaged snacks sold through shops normally need NAFDAC product registration and an inspection of where you produce. The NAFDAC tariff that took effect on 1 June 2019 listed these fees for local food products. It may have been revised since, so confirm the current figure with NAFDAC before paying.
| Item (NAFDAC tariff, June 2019) | Micro | Small |
|---|---|---|
| Registration of a local food product | ₦20,000 | ₦40,000 |
| Facility inspection per production line, yearly | ₦10,000 | ₦30,000 |
In January 2024, Prime Business Africa reported that NAFDAC cut registration renewal fees by 65%, with the processing fee for local manufacturers reported at ₦44,200. Our full walkthrough is in NAFDAC registration for small food businesses, and label rules are covered in snack labelling rules.
Shops and party clients pay by transfer. A Pryme Business Account gives you account details to share, and bank-transfer checkout is free if you sell online. Keep batch costs and sales in one place so you can see your real margin per pack.
For a home start, the main costs are ingredients for your first batches, a deep pot or small fryer, a sealer and pouches. Our labelled example batch costs about ₦46,200 in ingredients and packs; equipment comes on top, so get quotes.
It depends on your recipe and pack size. Our example assumes about 110 packs of 100g; weigh your own yield over a few batches.
To sell packaged chin chin in shops and supermarkets you will normally need NAFDAC registration. The 2019 tariff listed ₦20,000 for a micro local food product; check the current fee with NAFDAC.
Cool it completely before packing, use heat-sealed pouches or tight tubs, and store packs away from heat and damp.
