Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals and follows up. Nothing leaves your account without your approval.
Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

No card, no OTP, nothing for the buyer to type in. They transfer from the bank app they already use, and the money lands in the same account your agents are running — already matched to the order, already in your books.
We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Whether a 13th month is required in Nigeria, how bonuses are taxed under the 2025 tax law, and how a US employer should write the policy.
No Nigerian law requires a 13th month salary; it is a common custom, usually paid in December, and becomes owed only if the contract or a consistent policy promises it. Under the Nigeria Tax Act 2025, bonuses and 13th-month pay are added to the employee’s PAYE base and taxed at their marginal rate, so the employer must withhold and remit PAYE on them like salary.
Ask a Lagos candidate about compensation and the 13th month will often come up. Many Nigerian employers pay an extra month’s salary at year end, and staff plan December spending, school fees and travel home around it. A US employer needs to decide whether to offer it, how to describe it, and how to tax it. This guide covers each point.
No. The Labour Act sets rules on wages, deductions, leave and notice, but it contains no provision requiring a bonus or 13th-month payment. The obligation, where it exists, comes from the employment contract, a staff handbook, a collective agreement or an established practice. If your offer letter says "13th month salary payable in December", treat it as part of pay. If you want discretion, say so clearly and apply the policy consistently, because a payment made the same way every year can come to be expected.
DLA Piper’s August 2026 payroll FAQ on the Nigeria Tax Act 2025 is direct: employers are to add bonuses and 13th-month pay to the employee’s PAYE base, making them taxable. The personal income tax bands from 1 January 2026, as summarised by PwC, are:
| Annual taxable income band | Rate |
|---|---|
| First ₦800,000 | 0% |
| Next ₦2,200,000 | 15% |
| Next ₦9,000,000 | 18% |
| Next ₦13,000,000 | 21% |
| Next ₦25,000,000 | 23% |
| Above ₦50,000,000 | 25% |
Because the bands are annual, a December bonus is taxed at the employee’s marginal rate for the year. Payroll software that spreads the annual calculation across the months will pick it up; a manual calculation that taxes only the December payslip in isolation can under-deduct. DLA Piper notes that failure to deduct attracts a 40% administrative penalty on the amount not deducted.
Example only, before reliefs such as pension and rent relief. An employee earns ₦6,000,000 a year. Tax on the bands: ₦0 on the first ₦800,000, ₦330,000 on the next ₦2,200,000 (15%), and ₦540,000 on the remaining ₦3,000,000 (18%), a total of ₦870,000. A 13th month of ₦500,000 takes income to ₦6,500,000, all of the extra falling in the 18% band, so it adds ₦90,000 of tax. The employee receives ₦410,000 of the bonus before any other deductions.
For the full mechanics of PAYE, see Nigerian PAYE for staff hired by a US business and the Nigeria library’s PAYE bands for 2026.
Pension contributions are calculated on monthly emoluments, which KPMG’s summary of the Pension Reform Act 2014 describes as not less than basic salary, housing and transport. Whether a bonus is pensionable depends on how your pay package and pension policy define emoluments. Decide it once, write it down and apply it to everyone. PAYE on the bonus is remitted with the month’s PAYE, on or before the 10th of the following month according to PwC.
Most disputes over the 13th month are about people who joined or left during the year. Example only: a policy pays one month of basic salary, pro rata by complete months of service in the calendar year, to staff employed on 1 December. An employee on a basic of ₦600,000 who joined on 1 April has nine complete months by 31 December and receives ₦450,000 (₦600,000 × 9/12). An employee who resigned in October receives nothing under that wording, because they were not employed on 1 December. Whatever rule you choose, the point is to write it before December, not during it.
Performance bonuses paid in naira are taxed in the same way as the 13th month. If Nigerian staff hold options or shares in the US parent, the tax treatment in Nigeria of the grant, vesting and sale is a separate question that needs advice; it is not settled by the employment contract, and the employing entity may still have PAYE obligations on any benefit it pays.
A December bonus doubles the naira you need that month, at a time when US and Nigerian holidays reduce banking days. Convert in good time and budget the bonus at your planning rate; see cash flow planning.
Bonus payments can go out in naira from a Pryme Business Account, funded by dollars converted with Swap; the app shows the rate and the fee before you approve. The Finance agent can prepare the December run with PAYE on each bonus for a person to approve.
No law requires it. It is owed only where the contract, a handbook, a collective agreement or a consistent practice promises it.
Yes. Under the Nigeria Tax Act 2025, bonuses and 13th-month pay are added to the PAYE base and taxed at the employee’s marginal rate.
With that month’s PAYE, on or before the 10th of the following month, to the state tax authority where the employee lives.
It depends on how your package defines pensionable emoluments, which must include at least basic, housing and transport. Set a written rule and apply it consistently.
