Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.

You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

No card, no OTP, nothing for the buyer to type in. They transfer from the bank app they already use, and the money lands in the same account your agents are running — already matched to the order, already in your books.
We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Titan Trust Bank merged into Union Bank in 2025 and no longer operates under its own name. The timeline, what it meant for customers, and what is unclear.
Titan Trust Bank merged into Union Bank of Nigeria with the CBN's approval, and the brand no longer operates. Union Bank said the integration would complete on 31 August 2025 and that from 1 September 2025 the combined bank runs as Union Bank of Nigeria Plc, with former Titan branches now Union Bank branches. Titan customers bank with Union Bank and keep their account numbers.
Titan Trust Bank was a young bank that, unusually, bought a much older and larger one. In 2025 the two were combined under the older name, and the Titan Trust brand disappeared. Here is the sequence as reported, what it meant for customers, and where the public record is still unsettled.
| When | What happened | Source |
|---|---|---|
| 2021 | Share sale agreement for Titan Trust to acquire Union Bank | Nairametrics, 1 Sep 2025 |
| 2022 | Titan Trust acquires an 89.4% stake in Union Bank | Nairametrics |
| 2023 | Union Bank delisted from the Nigerian Exchange | Nairametrics |
| January 2024 | CBN dissolves the boards of both banks | Nairametrics |
| 28 March 2024 | CBN announces new minimum capital rules, with a 31 March 2026 deadline | ICIR |
| 31 August 2025 | Integration scheduled to complete | Union Bank notice |
| 1 September 2025 | Combined bank operates as Union Bank of Nigeria Plc; Titan branches become Union Bank branches | Union Bank notice |
Nairametrics reported that the CBN approved the consolidation and that Titan Trust's operations and assets were fully absorbed into Union Bank, which kept its name and brand. The report linked the move to the CBN's recapitalisation programme: it said Titan Trust was reported to face a ₦30 billion shortfall against the new capital requirement. Under the guidelines announced on 28 March 2024, commercial banks needed ₦500 billion for an international licence, ₦200 billion for national and ₦50 billion for regional, by 31 March 2026.
Nairametrics also reported that Union Bank, after the merger, has more than 293 service centres and 937 ATMs and serves more than 8 million customers, and described it as among Nigeria's ten largest banks by assets. Those are the bank's and the publication's figures as at September 2025.
The acquisition has been controversial. In January 2024 the CBN dissolved the boards of Union Bank and Titan Trust, and Nairametrics' September 2025 report refers to a leaked CBN special investigation report alleging that proxies linked to former CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele were involved in setting up Titan Trust and acquiring Union Bank. Yetunde Oni was appointed managing director and chief executive of Union Bank after the boards were dissolved.
There have been news reports of court forfeiture orders involving assets linked to the former governor. We did not open a court record or official statement that ties a forfeiture order to Union Bank or Titan Trust shares, so we do not describe one here. If ownership matters to you, for example as an investor, rely on statements from the CBN, the EFCC or the courts themselves. None of this changes how ordinary deposits are handled: the integration was regulated by the CBN, according to Union Bank's notice.
Titan Trust was the buyer, yet the Union Bank name was kept. Nairametrics quoted Union Bank's head of brand and marketing, Olufunmilola Aluko, saying the combined bank would operate under the Union Bank brand, and Titan Trust's own digital channels posted that Titan Trust is now Union Bank. With more than 8 million customers and 293 service centres reported by Nairametrics after the merger, keeping the established Union Bank name avoided rebranding millions of accounts and hundreds of locations. The Titan Trust name now matters mainly for history, for old statements and cards, and for people searching to find where their bank went.
Practical steps for former Titan customers are in Titan Trust Bank account holders: what to do now, and contacts are in Titan Trust Bank customer care now.
Deposits in CBN-licensed deposit-taking banks are covered by the NDIC up to the limit for the bank's category. Former Titan deposits now sit in Union Bank. If you held accounts in both banks before the merger, ask Union Bank or the NDIC how cover now applies to your combined balances. Our explainer on NDIC deposit insurance limits covers how the limit works.
No longer as a separate bank. It was absorbed into Union Bank of Nigeria, which has operated as the combined bank since 1 September 2025.
Titan Trust bought an 89.4% stake in Union Bank in 2022, and the two were then merged under the Union Bank name. Questions about ultimate ownership have been raised publicly; rely on CBN and court statements for the current position.
Yes. Titan branches became Union Bank branches from 1 September 2025, and Titan accounts keep their numbers under Union Bank.
The CBN approved the consolidation. Nairametrics linked it to the 2024 recapitalisation rules and reported a ₦30 billion capital shortfall at Titan Trust.
