Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals and follows up. Nothing leaves your account without your approval.
Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

BruceCareYour competitor down the road sells the same thing you sell. The difference is who walks in. We put money in people’s hands that can only be spent in businesses like yours — and then we point them at you.
You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

No card, no OTP, nothing for the buyer to type in. They transfer from the bank app they already use, and the money lands in the same account your agents are running — already matched to the order, already in your books.
We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Who must hold a Tax ID, where to quote it, why banks ask for it, how changes and cessation work, and the penalties under the Tax Administration Act 2025.
Section 4 of the Nigeria Tax Administration Act 2025 requires every taxable person to register with the relevant tax authority and obtain a Taxpayer Identification (Tax ID), and section 8 requires banks, insurers, stockbrokers and other financial institutions to make a Tax ID a precondition for opening or operating an account. A person may hold only one Tax ID, and failing to register costs ₦50,000 for the first month and ₦25,000 for each month after.
| Rule | Detail | Section (NTAA 2025) |
|---|---|---|
| Who must register | Every taxable person; every federal and state ministry, department and agency and every local government | s.4, s.5 |
| Non-residents | Must register if they supply taxable goods or services to Nigeria or derive income from Nigeria; passive investors may only need to provide information | s.6 |
| Issue | The authority registers and issues a Tax ID on request; a refusal must be explained within five working days | s.7(1)-(2) |
| Registration without application | The authority may register a person who should have applied, and must tell them | s.7(3)-(4) |
| One Tax ID only | A person with a valid Tax ID must not apply for or be given another; duplicates must be reported for unification | s.7(5)-(6) |
| Not transferable | A Tax ID cannot be used by another person | s.7(7) |
| Where it must appear | Returns, notices, correspondence and tax documents; documents for any transaction; a condition for contracts with government | s.8(1) |
| Financial services | Banks, insurers, stockbrokers and other financial service providers must make a Tax ID a precondition for opening or operating an account | s.8(2) |
| Changes | Notify changes in name, address, contacts or 5%+ shareholders within 30 days | s.9 |
| Suspension and deregistration | Notify temporary or permanent cessation within 30 days; a suspended ID is reissued unchanged | s.10 |
The Nigeria Revenue Service issues taxpayer identification in collaboration with state and local tax authorities and the Joint Revenue Board (NRS Act s.4(1)(q)). The Joint Revenue Board keeps an integrated database of taxpayer identification numbers for every taxable person in Nigeria (JRB Act s.5(a)). The NRS website links to a Tax ID portal at taxid.nrs.gov.ng and a Tax ID validation page.
The Acts use "Tax ID" throughout and define it by reference to the Administration Act. They do not state that any other identifier, such as a national identification number or a CAC registration number, is itself the Tax ID; check the NRS portal for how individuals and businesses are matched. For a step-by-step guide for companies, see how to get a Tax ID for your business. For the authority itself, see the NRS explained.
Section 9(2) spells out the changes that must be reported within 30 days:
If a business stops trading for a while, it notifies the authority within 30 days and its Tax ID is classified as dormant and suspended; on reapplication it gets the same ID back (s.10(1)-(2), (6)). A permanent cessation must also be notified within 30 days, and the authority deregisters the ID. It also cancels IDs of deceased persons, dissolved bodies and duplicates (s.10(5)).
| Failure | Penalty | Section (NTAA) |
|---|---|---|
| Failing or refusing to register | ₦50,000 for the first month; ₦25,000 for each further month | s.100(1) |
| A statutory body or company awarding a contract to an unregistered person | ₦5,000,000 | s.100(2) |
| Not notifying a change of address within 30 days, giving a wrong address, or not notifying permanent cessation | ₦100,000 for the first month; ₦50,000 for each further month | s.112 |
A trader starts selling on 1 March and registers on 15 July. Counting March to July as five months of failure, the penalty under section 100 would be ₦50,000 + 4 × ₦25,000 = ₦150,000. How the authority counts months in practice may differ, but the example shows how quickly the penalty adds up. Other penalties, such as for late returns, are listed in the tax penalties table.
A Tax ID also matters for documents. Section 8(1)(b) requires it on documents prepared or issued for a transaction, and section 152 of the Nigeria Tax Act requires the supplier's Tax ID on every VAT invoice. A business that issues invoices without its Tax ID risks both an invalid VAT invoice and questions from customers who need it to claim input VAT.
Section 8(2) means a Nigerian bank or financial service provider will ask for your Tax ID when you open or operate an account. The rule applies to financial service providers generally, including Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank, which holds naira deposits for Pryme accounts. If you are asked for a Tax ID when opening or using an account, that request comes from the law. Account opening steps are on how it works.
We read the gazetted texts of the Nigeria Tax Act 2025 and the Nigeria Tax Administration Act 2025 (Official Gazette No. 117, Vol. 112, dated 26 June 2025) section by section. The Nigeria Revenue Service website lists these Acts on its laws page, but its topic pages load in the browser and could not be read by our tools, so we worked from copies of the Gazette hosted by a third party and checked figures against the section and schedule numbers quoted here. Regulations, practice notes and orders issued after the Acts may change how a rule applies; where something depends on an order or regulation we say so. The Tax ID portal address comes from links in the NRS website's code; we did not test the portal. The example is ours.
Section 8(2) of the Nigeria Tax Administration Act 2025 requires banks, insurers, stockbrokers and other financial service providers to make a Tax ID a precondition for opening or operating an account.
No. A person with a valid Tax ID must not apply for or be issued another, and anyone who finds duplicates must report them for unification.
₦50,000 for the first month of failure to register and ₦25,000 for each month it continues, under section 100 of the Act.
Notify the tax authority within 30 days. For a temporary stop the ID is suspended and reissued unchanged later; for a permanent stop it is deregistered.
