What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.

Can I hold dollars, pounds and euros in a Pryme account?

Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.

What is Spaces?

Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.

What do the agents on a Pryme Business Account do?

Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. How does Pryme Pay work?

Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.

What are Savings Boxes?

Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.

Who holds my money, and is it protected?

Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.

Can I build on Pryme?

Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

What is Pryme?

Spectranet: how to buy a MiFi and subscribe

Spectranet MiFi and router prices as at October 2026, what data comes in the box, how to activate, and the ways to renew a plan afterwards.

The short answer

As at October 2026, Spectranet sells the Freedom MiFi for ₦15,000 and the Titan MiFi for ₦25,000, each with 100GB of starting data, and its Spark and Turbo routers for ₦68,999 with 300GB. You buy from a Spectranet shop or the online e-Shop, power the device on to activate, then renew through Selfcare, Easy Online Payment, Quickteller, a shop or bank payment.

Spectranet is a 4G LTE internet provider, so you need one of its devices or data SIMs to use it; a phone SIM from another network will not work on its plans. This guide covers which device to buy, what each costs on Spectranet's site as at October 2026, how to get it running and how to keep the subscription going.

Check coverage first

Spectranet says it covers Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and more than 120 towns, with full 4G LTE in Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan and Port Harcourt. Coverage still varies by street and building. Enter your address on the coverage check on Spectranet's homepage before you buy, and if possible test a friend's device in the room where you will use it.

Spectranet's Freedom MiFi page adds detail: the included data is valid for 30 days, the device supports up to 10 connected devices on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, quotes download speeds of up to 50 Mbps and upload up to 20 Mbps, and the battery lasts 6 to 8 hours when fully charged. It also advertises a 50% data boost on every renewal within the first six months. The ₦15,000 price is shown for the 100GB option; the larger starting bundles are listed as choices on the same page, so confirm the price for the one you pick.

MiFi or router?

  • A MiFi is small and runs on battery, so it suits people who move between home, office and car, or one or two users.
  • A router plugs into the wall, has stronger antennas and suits a household with several devices in one place. The Spark and Turbo routers list up to 10 devices at once.
  • If power is unreliable at home, a MiFi's battery keeps you online during short outages; a router needs a UPS or inverter.

How to buy

  1. Go to the e-Shop on spectranet.com.ng, pick the device and submit the order form with your name, phone, delivery address and preferred region (Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan or Port Harcourt). Spectranet says it will confirm availability and delivery.
  2. Or walk into a Spectranet shop. The device pages list shops by region, from Ikeja and Lekki to Wuse 2 and Port Harcourt.
  3. Pay by the method offered; Spectranet's payments page says POS and cash are accepted at its shops.
  4. Keep the receipt and the box. The SIM card number and your User ID are needed later for support.

Activating and first use

Spectranet's unlimited plans page describes the process in four steps: pick a plan, get the device, power on and connect, then use it. In practice:

  1. Charge the MiFi fully before first use.
  2. Switch it on and wait for the signal light to settle.
  3. Connect your phone or laptop to the Wi-Fi name printed on the device or its label, using the password shown.
  4. Open a website to confirm you are online, then change the Wi-Fi password; Spectranet's site has a 'How to change your WiFi password' guide.
  5. Register on the Selfcare app or selfcare.spectranet.com.ng to see your data balance and validity.

Subscribing after the starter data

When the included data runs out or the 30 days end, buy a plan. As at October 2026, Spectranet's homepage lists, for example, Mini 6GB for 4 days at ₦1,500, doMORE 100GB with unlimited night browsing for 30 days at ₦20,000, Ultra Validity 130GB for 90 days at ₦23,500 and Unlimited Big Data at ₦45,000. Ways to pay for a plan

  • Selfcare app or website, by card through Webpay.
  • Easy Online Payment, Spectranet's online payment site.
  • Interswitch Quickteller, using your User ID.
  • POS or cash at a Spectranet shop.
  • Bank deposit or transfer to Spectranet's listed collection accounts, which Spectranet says takes at least 48 hours to reflect.

Worked example

Example only. Buying a Freedom MiFi (₦15,000, 100GB for 30 days) and then renewing on doMORE 100GB at ₦20,000 a month for the next 11 months costs ₦15,000 + (11 × ₦20,000) = ₦15,000 + ₦220,000 = ₦235,000 over a year, before any boost or price change.

Where Pryme fits

How do I activate my Spectranet MiFi?

Charge it, switch it on, connect to the Wi-Fi name and password on the device label, then register on Spectranet Selfcare to see your balance.

Can I use Spectranet MiFi with another network SIM?

Spectranet devices are sold for Spectranet's 4G LTE network and plans. Spectranet's pages do not describe using other networks' SIMs in them.

How long does Spectranet MiFi battery last?

Spectranet's Freedom MiFi page says 6 to 8 hours when fully charged.
