Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals and follows up. Nothing leaves your account without your approval.
Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

BruceCareYour competitor down the road sells the same thing you sell. The difference is who walks in. We put money in people’s hands that can only be spent in businesses like yours — and then we point them at you.
You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

No card, no OTP, nothing for the buyer to type in. They transfer from the bank app they already use, and the money lands in the same account your agents are running — already matched to the order, already in your books.
We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

What it costs to send money from Calabar to family across Nigeria, how ₦50 stamp duty works, POS cash-out costs and receiving money from abroad.
From Calabar, a bank or app transfer to any Nigerian account is usually the cheapest route: the CBN's 2020 Guide to Charges caps interbank transfer fees at ₦10, ₦25 or ₦50 depending on the amount, and since 1 January 2026 the sender also pays ₦50 stamp duty on transfers of ₦10,000 or more. The bigger cost often comes later, when a relative without a bank account withdraws cash through a POS agent. Money from abroad should come through an operator on the CBN's licensed IMTO list.
Calabar sends money in every direction: to parents in Ikom, Ogoja or Obudu, to siblings at school in Uyo or Port Harcourt, to traders in Aba and Onitsha who supply Watt Market shops. Most of it now moves by phone. What you pay depends on three things: the transfer fee your bank or app charges, the stamp duty the law adds, and what the person at the other end pays to turn the money into cash. This guide sets out each one with the figures that can be sourced, and a worked example.
The Central Bank of Nigeria sets maximum charges for electronic transfers in its Guide to Charges by Banks, Other Financial and Non-Financial Institutions, in force since 1 January 2020. For interbank transfers the caps are:
| Amount sent | Maximum transfer fee (CBN 2020 guide) |
|---|---|
| Below ₦5,000 | ₦10 |
| ₦5,000 to ₦50,000 | ₦25 |
| Above ₦50,000 | ₦50 |
These are ceilings, not fixed prices. Many banks and payment apps charge less, and some advertise free transfers; your app shows the charge before you confirm. In April 2026 the CBN published an exposure draft of a new guide that would make transfers up to ₦5,000 free, charge ₦10 from ₦5,000 to ₦50,000 and cap the fee at ₦50 above that, according to a summary by the law firm Candide-Johnson & Co. The draft had no effective date in that summary, so treat the 2020 caps as the rule until your bank announces a change.
From 1 January 2026, under the Nigeria Tax Act 2025, the old Electronic Money Transfer Levy was replaced by a ₦50 stamp duty on electronic transfers of ₦10,000 or more, and it is now deducted from the sender rather than the receiver (Techeconomy, 1 January 2026, citing bank notices). Transfers below ₦10,000, salary payments and transfers between your own accounts at the same bank are exempt. It is charged once per transfer, so ten small transfers of ₦10,000 each attract ten charges, while one transfer of ₦100,000 attracts one. There is more on how banks apply it in our stamp duty explainer.
If your mother in a village near Akamkpa has a bank or wallet account but no nearby branch, she will probably withdraw through a POS agent. The CBN's agent banking guidelines of October 2025, as summarised by Techpoint Africa, cap each customer's cash-out at ₦100,000 a day and ₦500,000 a week, and each agent's total cash-out at ₦1.2 million a day. There is no CBN cap on what agents charge, and fees tend to rise where cash is scarce, which is often the case in rural areas and on market days. Agents must display their charges, so ask before the card goes in.
This is why one larger transfer, withdrawn in one visit, is usually cheaper than several small ones. If the amount is above ₦100,000, the receiver will need two days or a bank branch.
An example, not a quote. Ekaette in Calabar sends her father in Ikom ₦60,000 for the month. Her bank charges the 2020 maximum.
| Step | Option A: one transfer | Option B: six transfers of ₦10,000 |
|---|---|---|
| Transfer fee | ₦50 (above ₦50,000) | 6 × ₦25 = ₦150 |
| Stamp duty | ₦50 | 6 × ₦50 = ₦300 |
| POS cash-out (example charge of ₦200 per ₦10,000) | ₦1,200 | ₦1,200 |
| Total cost | ₦1,300 | ₦1,650 |
Option A saves ₦350. Most of the cost in both is the cash-out, which is why it pays for the receiver to use a transfer or card for bills and shop payments where they can, and to withdraw only what must be cash.
Money sent from the UK, US or elsewhere to Nigeria is paid out through International Money Transfer Operators (IMTOs) licensed by the CBN's Trade and Exchange Department. The CBN publishes the list of licensed operators on its website; when checked in October 2026 it had 108 entries. Before a relative abroad uses any service, check its exact company name against that list. Our guide to CBN rules on remittances explains how payouts work.
Two things decide what your family actually receives: the exchange rate the operator applies and its fee. Compare the naira amount shown before payment, not the advertised fee alone. Rates change daily, so check on the day.
A Pryme Personal Account can be opened from any country and holds NGN, USD, GBP and EUR with local account details for each, so a relative abroad can pay into the matching currency and the money stays in that currency until you choose to Swap, with the rate and fee shown first. Naira transfers are made from Send, and you can generate a verifiable receipt with VerifyDoc.ai for proof of payment. Naira deposits are held by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank, licensed by the CBN and insured by the NDIC up to the applicable limit.
The CBN 2020 Guide to Charges caps interbank transfer fees at ₦10 below ₦5,000, ₦25 from ₦5,000 to ₦50,000, and ₦50 above. Many banks charge less; the app shows the fee before you confirm.
Since 1 January 2026 the sender pays ₦50 stamp duty on electronic transfers of ₦10,000 or more. Transfers under ₦10,000, salaries and transfers between your own accounts at the same bank are exempt.
Usually one bank or app transfer of the full amount, withdrawn in one POS visit if cash is needed. Small repeated transfers add fees and stamp duty, and each POS withdrawal adds an agent charge.
Through an operator on the CBN's licensed IMTO list, paying into your bank account or wallet. Compare the naira amount you will receive, not just the fee.
