Questions

The things people ask us first.

What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.

Can I hold dollars, pounds and euros in a Pryme account?

Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.

What is Spaces?

Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.

What do the agents on a Pryme Business Account do?

Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.

How does Pryme Pay work?

Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.

What are Savings Boxes?

Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.

Who holds my money, and is it protected?

Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.

Can I build on Pryme?

Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives you one account that holds US dollars, pounds sterling and euros beside Naira, with an assistant that runs the account for you and asks before anything moves. Accounts are provided in Nigeria today, and further markets open as each licence lands.

Can I open a Pryme account from outside Nigeria?

Accounts are provided in Nigeria today, subject to verification and approval. Foreign-currency balances are held and converted inside that account, so you can hold, receive and swap dollars, pounds and euros wherever you are.

Which currencies can I hold with Pryme?

Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros, side by side on one ledger. Each has its own details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area — and each has its own statement.

How do I send money to Nigeria with Pryme?

Swap at a rate you set rather than the rate of the day, then send to any Pryme username or to a Nigerian bank account. There is no fee to send to another Pryme account.

What does the assistant do?

Eva is the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals, pays what is due and follows up what is owed to you — and asks you before anything moves.

What is Pryme Rails?

Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Nigerian passport in Asaba: the Delta immigration office steps

Apply or renew a Nigerian passport from Asaba: the NIS portal, choosing the Delta passport office, documents, and the fees in force since September 2025.

The short answer

You apply for or renew a Nigerian passport online at passport.immigration.gov.ng, pay there, choose a processing office in Delta State, and attend for biometric capture. Since 1 September 2025 the fee in Nigeria has been ₦100,000 for a 32-page five-year passport and ₦200,000 for a 64-page ten-year passport, as reported from the NIS announcement. Pay only on the official portal; the NIS says no agent or organisation is authorised to collect passport payments.

The process in brief

Passport applications are online first. You fill the form, pay and book on the Nigeria Immigration Service portal, then go to the passport office you selected for photographs and fingerprints. There is no separate "Asaba process": the steps are national, and Asaba applicants choose a Delta State centre when the portal asks for one. The NIS lists the centres as you apply; confirm the office address the portal shows before you travel, because we could not verify a published address list for Delta.

Fees as at October 2026

PassportFee in Nigeria from 1 Sep 2025Previous fee (from 1 Sep 2024)
32 pages, 5 years₦100,000₦50,000
64 pages, 10 years₦200,000₦100,000

These figures come from Techeconomy's report of the NIS announcement (28 August 2025). The 64-page five-year fee was not stated in that report, so check it on the portal. Fees change; the amount the portal shows at payment is the one that applies. See our national guide to Nigerian passport fees in 2026.

Steps for a fresh passport

  1. Get your NIN first. Your passport details are checked against your NIMC record, so correct any errors there before you apply.
  2. Go to passport.immigration.gov.ng and choose a fresh application. Pick the passport type and a Delta State processing centre.
  3. Fill in your details exactly as they appear on your NIN record.
  4. Pay on the portal and keep the payment receipt and application acknowledgement slip.
  5. Book your biometric appointment.
  6. Attend with your documents for photograph and fingerprint capture.
  7. Track your application and collect the passport when told it is ready.

Documents for a fresh adult application

The NIS passports page lists, for adults: proof of identity (a local or state government letter, or national ID; government staff need a staff letter and ID); the application form and two photographs endorsed on the back by a guarantor; a guarantor's form sworn before a Commissioner for Oaths with a copy of the guarantor's e-passport data page and one photograph; a marriage certificate if applicable; an NPC birth certificate (for those born from December 1992) or a declaration of age; and the acknowledgement slip and proof of payment. Minors need the form and a photo endorsed by a consenting parent.

Renewing from Asaba

The NIS renewal page describes the route: choose "Apply for Renewal/Reissue" on the portal, verify your NIN and date of birth, enter your current passport details (they are compared with your NIN data), choose the centre and 32 or 64 pages, upload an ICAO-standard photograph, add your address and next of kin, upload documents, submit, pay and book biometrics, then appear at the office you chose.

Timelines, refunds and agents

  • The Interior Minister has set a target of issuing passports within one week of enrolment (AllAfrica/NAN, 28 August 2025). A target is not a guarantee, so do not book travel on it.
  • The NIS refund policy says payments are final except for a double payment or where no appointment was booked. Errors after payment and switching between 32 and 64 pages are not refundable. Requests must be made within 21 days of payment.
  • On 5 May 2026 the NIS said passport.immigration.gov.ng is the sole authorised platform for passport payments and that no religious body, private organisation or individual is an authorised intermediary (NAN). Anyone around the office offering to "speed it up" for cash is not part of the official process.

Why applications stall

Most delays come from mismatches rather than the office itself. The commonest are a name on the NIN record spelt differently from the birth certificate, a date of birth that differs between documents, a married woman applying in her married name without the marriage certificate, and a guarantor whose own passport has expired. Each of these can send you back to NIMC or to a Commissioner for Oaths before the NIS can continue. Sort them out before you pay, not after, because the fee is not refundable once an appointment is booked.

For children, both the paperwork and the parents matter. The NIS lists a form and a photograph endorsed by a consenting parent; bring the child's NPC birth certificate and the parent's own identification. If one parent is abroad, ask the office in advance what consent document it will accept.

What to check first

  • Your NIN record matches your birth certificate and current documents.
  • Your guarantor holds a valid Nigerian passport and can swear the form.
  • You have the full fee available on a card or account that works on the portal.
  • You know the exact Delta office the portal assigned you.

Where Pryme fits

If you are saving towards the fee, a Naira Savings Box keeps the money separate until you apply. If you will travel after, a Pryme account holds NGN, USD, GBP and EUR, and Swap shows the rate and fee before you approve any conversion; see multicurrency accounts.

Questions people ask

How much is passport fee in Nigeria now?

From 1 September 2025: ₦100,000 for 32 pages, five years, and ₦200,000 for 64 pages, ten years, per the reported NIS announcement. Check the portal for the amount at payment.

Where is the passport office in Asaba?

Choose a Delta State centre on passport.immigration.gov.ng and use the address the portal shows. We could not verify a published address list.

Can I renew my passport online from Asaba?

You start and pay online, but you still attend the office you choose for biometric capture unless you qualify for another route the portal offers.

Can I get a refund if I paid for the wrong passport type?

No. The NIS refund policy excludes switching between 32 and 64 pages and errors after payment. Refunds apply to double payments or where no appointment was booked.
