Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals and follows up. Nothing leaves your account without your approval.
Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

No card, no OTP, nothing for the buyer to type in. They transfer from the bank app they already use, and the money lands in the same account your agents are running — already matched to the order, already in your books.
We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

A dated record of MTN data price changes: the NCC's January 2025 approval of up to 50%, the new MTN bundles that followed, and where to check prices today.
On 20 January 2025 the NCC approved tariff increases for operators including MTN, capped at 50% of existing tariffs, saying tariffs had not changed since 2013. MTN's new prices followed in February 2025: as reported by TechCabal, a 1.5GB monthly plan at ₦1,000 was replaced by 1.8GB at ₦1,500, and 15GB rose from ₦4,500 to ₦6,500; today's prices are on mtn.ng/data/data-plans.
Data prices in Nigeria stayed broadly flat for years and then rose sharply in early 2025. Because so many old price lists still circulate online, it helps to know which changes were official, when they happened and what they replaced. This page records the changes we could source, with dates. It is a history, not a current price list.

| 2013 | NCC Cost Study sets the tariff bands still used in 2025; the NCC said in 2025 that tariffs had not changed since 2013 | NCC statement reported by AllAfrica, 20 Jan 2025 |
| 20 Jan 2025 | NCC approves tariff increase requests from operators including MTN and Airtel, capped at 50% of current tariffs (some operators had asked for over 100%) | AllAfrica, 20 Jan 2025 |

| Feb 2025 | Airtel follows with its own increases | TechCabal, 17 Feb 2025 |

According to the NCC statement reported on 20 January 2025, increases had to stay within the tariff bands in the 2013 NCC Cost Study, were reviewed case by case and had to follow the NCC's Guidance on Tariff Simplification, 2024. Operators were told to apply the changes transparently, inform the public of new rates and show measurable improvements in service. The NCC said it recognised 'the financial pressures faced by Nigerian households and businesses' and pointed to rising operating costs and the need for continued investment.
TechCabal reported these MTN changes on 11 February 2025. The percentage change is our calculation from the prices reported.
| Plan | Old price | New price | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly: 1.5GB replaced by 1.8GB | ₦1,000 | ₦1,500 | +50% (price per GB from about ₦667 to about ₦833, +25%) |
| 15GB | ₦4,500 | ₦6,500 | +44% |
| 20GB | ₦5,500 | ₦7,500 | +36% |
| 600GB, 90 days | ₦75,000 | ₦120,000 | +60% |
| 1.5TB, 90 days | ₦150,000 | ₦240,000 | +60% |
| 2.5GB daily | ₦600 | ₦600 | Unchanged |
Two points are worth noting. First, some bundle prices rose by more than 50%. The NCC's cap applied to tariffs, and the sources we found do not explain how individual bundle prices were measured against it, so we report the figures without drawing a conclusion. Second, an MTN executive was quoted saying some plans stayed unchanged 'to ensure we keep the grassroots connected', and an industry source said some daily plans had shorter validity, though TechCabal did not name the operator for that change.
Old 1.5GB at ₦1,000 is ₦1,000 ÷ 1.5 = about ₦667 per GB. New 1.8GB at ₦1,500 is ₦1,500 ÷ 1.8 = about ₦833 per GB. The headline price rose 50%, but the price per GB rose about 25% because the bundle also grew. Always compare per GB when bundle sizes change.
TechCabal reported on 17 February 2025 that Airtel raised prices by around 50% after the same NCC approval: for example, a 1.2GB monthly plan at ₦1,000 became 2GB at ₦1,500, and a 10GB plan at ₦3,000 became 13GB at ₦5,000. Many Airtel daily and weekly plans were reported unchanged. The networks restructured bundles differently, so comparing headline prices across networks can mislead.
Many blog posts and screenshots on social media still show 2024 prices, or mix MTN's prices with resellers' SME and corporate data offers. A price list without a date and a source is not a reliable guide. If a list shows 1.5GB for ₦1,000 on a monthly plan, it predates February 2025. When comparing, check the date, whether the bundle is MTN's own or a reseller's, and the validity, since validity changes are as much a price change as the naira figure.
We did not find a dated official source for MTN phone data price changes after February 2025. MTN's router plans page, last modified on 1 April 2026, showed for example a 30GB router plan at ₦9,000 and a 1.5TB, 365-day plan at ₦225,000 as at that date; router plans are a separate product from phone bundles, so they are not a like-for-like comparison with the table above. For today's phone data prices, check mtn.ng/data/data-plans/ or the *312# menu; our page on current MTN data plans explains where the live price is shown.
Higher bundle prices make timing and plan choice matter more. You can buy MTN data from a Pryme account on the airtime and data page; the price shown is MTN's. For broader household budgeting, read cost of living in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt.
MTN's new prices took effect in February 2025, after the NCC approved tariff increases of up to 50% on 20 January 2025.
The NCC cap was 50% of existing tariffs. Reported examples: 1.5GB at ₦1,000 replaced by 1.8GB at ₦1,500, 15GB from ₦4,500 to ₦6,500, 20GB from ₦5,500 to ₦7,500. Some large 90-day plans rose 60%.
The NCC said tariffs had not changed since 2013 while operators' costs had risen, and that the adjustment would support investment in infrastructure.
