Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

BruceCareYour competitor down the road sells the same thing you sell. The difference is who walks in. We put money in people’s hands that can only be spent in businesses like yours — and then we point them at you.
You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

How mini importation from China works: sourcing on 1688 or Alibaba, using an agent, paying per kg, customs, and a worked landed-cost example.
Mini importation means buying small quantities of light goods from Chinese sellers, usually through a buying or cargo agent, and having them flown or shipped to Nigeria at a price per kilogram. Your real cost is the product price plus agent fees, freight, customs charges and local delivery, so work out the landed cost per unit before you pay. Check first that the goods are not on Nigeria's import prohibition lists.
Mini importation is the small end of importing: a few hundred phone cases, hair accessories, kitchen gadgets or ring lights, bought from Chinese factories or wholesalers and resold in Nigeria online or from a stall. It works because many Chinese suppliers sell in small lots and because cargo agents combine many buyers' parcels into one shipment. It fails when people price from the factory price alone and forget everything that happens between the factory and the customer.
The best mini-importation goods are light, small, hard to break and not regulated. Freight is usually charged by weight (or volume for bulky items), so a product that weighs little but sells for a good price leaves room for margin. Before you settle on anything, check two lists the Nigerian government keeps: the import prohibition list and the absolute prohibition list. According to the US International Trade Administration's summary of Nigeria's rules (updated April 2025), the import prohibition list includes most footwear and bags, retail soaps and detergents, recharge cards, carpets, toilet paper and ballpoint pens, while the absolute list includes counterfeit goods and second-hand clothing. See whether you need an import licence for how these lists work.
Alibaba is the export-facing marketplace: listings are in English, prices are often in US dollars, and many suppliers are used to foreign buyers. 1688 is a domestic Chinese wholesale site in Chinese with lower prices, but many of its sellers do not ship abroad or accept foreign payment, which is why Nigerian buyers use agents for it. AliExpress sells single items at retail prices; it is useful for testing a product but rarely profitable for resale.
Most mini importers use a Nigerian-run buying or cargo agent with a warehouse in Guangzhou or another Chinese city. The agent buys from 1688 on your behalf, receives your goods, checks them, consolidates them with other customers' parcels and sends them to Lagos, Abuja or another city. Two charges matter: the agent's buying fee (often a percentage of the goods value, set by each agent) and the freight rate.
Freight rates per kg change with fuel, demand and the naira, and we could not find an official published rate, so ask several agents for a written quote on the day. Ask also how they handle duties on consolidated cargo, what happens if Customs holds a shipment, and whether they will insure it.
When you import in your own name, duty is set by the product's HS code in the ECOWAS Common External Tariff. The US ITA summary (September 2025) describes five bands: 0% for essentials and capital equipment, 5% for raw materials, 10% for intermediate goods, 20% for finished consumer goods and 35% for sensitive sectors, with levies, excise and VAT added on top. VAT remains 7.5% under the Nigeria Tax Act 2025. You can look up a code on the Nigeria Customs Service's CET Lookup Portal (see how to find an HS code). Where you clear goods yourself or through a clearing firm, use a licensed agent; Customs publishes lists of active and black-listed agents.
| Cost line | Example amount |
|---|---|
| 300 silicone cases (goods, converted to naira on the day you pay) | ₦360,000 |
| Agent buying fee (example 5% of goods) | ₦18,000 |
| Delivery from seller to agent's warehouse in China | ₦9,000 |
| Air cargo, 15 kg at an example ₦11,000 per kg, clearing included | ₦165,000 |
| Pickup and local delivery to you | ₦8,000 |
| Total landed cost | ₦560,000 |
| Landed cost per case (÷ 300) | ₦1,866.67 |
If 10 cases arrive damaged, you have 290 to sell and the cost per sellable case rises to about ₦1,931 (₦560,000 ÷ 290). Selling at ₦3,500 each would bring in ₦1,015,000 for a gross profit of ₦455,000 before your time, data, packaging and returns. The factory price was only ₦1,200 per case; nearly 36% of your cost sat outside the product.
A Pryme Business Account holds NGN, USD, GBP and EUR with local account details for each, so money a buyer pays you stays in the currency it arrived in, and Swap converts only when you choose, showing the rate first and the fee on its own line. When you resell, bank-transfer checkout is free. See multicurrency for business.
There is no fixed figure. Add a sample order, a first order the agent will accept, freight for its weight and local delivery. In the labelled example above, 300 phone cases cost about ₦560,000 landed. Start with an amount you can afford to tie up for several weeks.
1688 prices are often lower because it is a domestic Chinese wholesale site, but many sellers there do not ship abroad, so you pay an agent to buy and receive goods for you. Compare the total after agent fees, not the listing price.
It changes with fuel costs, demand and the exchange rate, and there is no official published rate. Ask several cargo agents for a written quote that says whether customs clearing and delivery are included.
Second-hand clothing and counterfeit goods are on Nigeria's absolute prohibition list, according to the US ITA summary updated in April 2025. Shipments can be seized, so build your business on goods that can be imported lawfully.
