Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals and follows up. Nothing leaves your account without your approval.
Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

BruceCareYour competitor down the road sells the same thing you sell. The difference is who walks in. We put money in people’s hands that can only be spent in businesses like yours — and then we point them at you.
You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

How the Contributory Pension Scheme turns an RSA balance into a lump sum and monthly pension, and how pre-2004 defined-benefit pensions differ.
Most federal civil servants who joined or were serving after June 2004 retire under the Contributory Pension Scheme: the pension is paid from their RSA balance, as programmed withdrawal from the PFA or an annuity from a life insurer. A lump sum is allowed only if what remains can pay a pension of at least 50% of their remuneration at retirement, per PenCom's 2024 guidance note. Pre-2004 retirees and those exempted stay on defined-benefit pensions paid through PTAD.
There are two systems for federal civil servants, and which one applies depends on when you retired or how close you were to retirement in 2004. The Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) was set up by the Pension Reform Act 2004 in June 2004 and re-enacted in July 2014, according to PenCom's 2023 FAQ. The same FAQ says people who had retired before June 2004, and those who had three years or less to retirement on 30 June 2004, were exempted and remain on the old defined-benefit (DB) arrangement.
Your retirement savings account holds your and your employer's contributions, any accrued-rights bond credited for service before 2004, any voluntary contributions, and the investment returns on all of it. At retirement, or age 50 whichever is later, the balance is used in one of two ways:
PenCom's guidance note on the revised programmed withdrawal template (version 2, December 2024) says a lump sum is allowed only if the balance left after it can provide a pension of not less than 50% of your annual remuneration at the date of retirement. It also says the revision lifts the earlier restriction that capped lump sums at 50% of the RSA balance. The monthly pension under programmed withdrawal is based on your expected life span using an adjusted mortality table, an assumed rate of return and fees, computed in PenCom's template.
Example only. BusinessDay's explainer illustrates programmed withdrawal as the balance divided by the expected number of months. We use the same simplification, with 240 months; the real template adjusts for returns, fees and mortality, so your PFA's figure will differ.
| Step | Figure |
|---|---|
| RSA balance at retirement | ₦40,000,000 |
| Monthly remuneration at retirement | ₦250,000 |
| Minimum monthly pension (50%) | ₦125,000 |
| Balance needed to pay ₦125,000 for 240 months | ₦30,000,000 |
| Maximum lump sum: 40,000,000 − 30,000,000 | ₦10,000,000 |
| Pension if no lump sum: 40,000,000 ÷ 240 | ₦166,666.67 a month |
A larger lump sum means a smaller monthly pension for the rest of your life. Many retirees take less than the maximum for that reason.
Under the DB system, the pension is a fixed amount worked out from your final salary and years of service under the old pension law, not from an account balance. For Treasury-funded MDAs, PenCom's FAQ says these pensions are paid by the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD), which was set up by the 2014 Act. We have not found the old computation formula on an official page we could open, so we do not reproduce it here; PTAD and your former MDA hold your computation sheet, and you can ask for it.
DB pensions are reviewed. NSIWC circular SWC/S/04/S.542/III/461 of 27 September 2024 approved an increase of ₦32,000 a month on the pensions of retirees under the defined benefits scheme of agencies on CONPSS and eleven other federal structures, with effect from 29 July 2024. PenCom's December 2025 circular to self-funded agencies cites section 173(3) of the Constitution: pensions are reviewed every five years or together with federal civil service salary reviews, whichever is earlier, and lists earlier increases including 33% in 2014 and 20% and 28% in 2024.
If you take a lump sum, decide what each part is for before it arrives. A Naira Savings Box can hold a buffer separate from spending money. Our guides to living on a pension and pension contributions cover the wider picture.
Under the CPS, from your RSA balance using PenCom's programmed withdrawal template (life expectancy, assumed returns and fees) or by buying an annuity. Under the old DB scheme, from final salary and years of service.
As much as leaves enough to pay a pension of at least 50% of your remuneration at retirement, per PenCom's December 2024 guidance note.
For Treasury-funded MDAs, PTAD pays defined-benefit pensions, according to PenCom's FAQ.
Yes for DB retirees of agencies on the listed structures: NSIWC approved ₦32,000 a month from 29 July 2024.
