Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

BruceCareYour competitor down the road sells the same thing you sell. The difference is who walks in. We put money in people’s hands that can only be spent in businesses like yours — and then we point them at you.
You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

No card, no OTP, nothing for the buyer to type in. They transfer from the bank app they already use, and the money lands in the same account your agents are running — already matched to the order, already in your books.
We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

The CBN timelines for failed, wrong and unauthorised transfers and card transactions, who acts first, and when to escalate to the CBN.
A transfer sent in error by the bank itself should be reversed within one business day of a request made within 14 working days, under the CBN's 2018 instant transfer regulation. Failed ATM, POS and web transactions have 24 to 48 hour refund windows under a 2020 CBN circular. A transfer you sent to the wrong person cannot be reversed without the recipient's consent.
"Reversal" covers several things that the rules treat differently. The first question is who made the mistake: the system, the bank, or you. The second is the channel: an account-to-account transfer, an ATM, a POS terminal or an online card payment. The timelines below come from CBN instruments as summarised by law firms, and from banks' own published terms. Where we could only find a summary, we say so.
| Situation | Rule or source | Timeline |
|---|---|---|
| Transfer sent wrongly because of a bank error | CBN Regulation on Instant (Inter-Bank) EFT Services, 13 Sep 2018 (Mondaq summary) | Request within 14 working days; reversal within 1 business day, no beneficiary authorisation needed |
| Transfer sent to the wrong account by the customer | Same regulation | Needs the beneficiary's consent; receiving bank may hold a lien for up to 2 weeks; internal auditors mediate within 2 weeks if no consent |
| Failed ATM withdrawal at your own bank's ATM | CBN chargeback circular, 29 May 2020, effective 8 Jun 2020 | Instant reversal; 24 hours if instant fails |
| Failed ATM withdrawal at another bank's ATM | Same circular | 48 hours |
| Failed POS or web payment | Same circular | Refund within 48 hours; web complaints acknowledged immediately |
| Complaint the bank has not resolved | CBN Consumer Protection Department | Allow the bank two weeks, then escalate |
If a transfer fails but your account is debited, the money normally returns through the same switch that carried it. The 2018 regulation, as summarised by G. Elias on Mondaq (8 July 2025), separates bank-error transfers, which the bank can reverse without the beneficiary's say-so, from customer-error transfers. The fastest step is to give your bank the session ID or transaction reference from the receipt; without it, the bank has to trace the transfer by amount and time.
This is the case people find hardest. Your bank cannot simply pull the money back from someone else's account. The receiving bank can place a lien while it seeks the account holder's consent, for up to two weeks under the regulation as summarised. If the recipient refuses or cannot be reached, the banks' internal auditors mediate, and after that the route is a complaint or court action. Our guide to recovering a wrong transfer walks through each step.
The 2020 circular "Reduction of Chargeback Period for ATMs, POS and WEB Transactions" (PSM/DIR/CON/CWO/07/127) shortened the windows to 24 to 48 hours, and gave switches 24 hours for their part. In October 2025 the CBN circulated draft ATM guidelines that would require instant reversal for on-us ATM failures with manual correction within 24 hours, and a 48-hour maximum for not-on-us failures; we could not confirm that a final version has been issued.
Banks' own pages do not always match the circular. GTBank's help centre, for instance, says dispense errors on its own ATMs are reversed within 24 hours, on other banks' terminals within 5 to 8 days, and on international terminals within 45 days. Stanbic IBTC's debit card terms give 3 working days for domestic chargebacks and 45 working days for foreign ones from the time the claim is logged with the acquirer. If your bank quotes a longer period than the circular, you can cite the circular in your complaint. For the card side in detail, see failed ATM or POS refunds.
A debit you did not make is a fraud report first and a reversal second. Report it at once: block the card or channel, then put the claim in writing. Stanbic IBTC's card terms, for example, ask for unauthorised transactions to be reported in writing within 120 days and say the customer is liable for transactions before a lost card is reported. Other banks set their own windows in their terms. Who bears the loss depends on the facts; see unauthorised debits and liability.
Most delays come from the gap between the sending bank, the switch and the receiving bank. A transfer can show as successful on the switch but fail to credit, or be credited and then disputed. Each institution checks its own records before it releases funds, and a complaint without a session ID can take days just to locate. Public holidays and weekends do not count as working days, so a "two-week" window can run longer on the calendar. If your bank tells you it is waiting for the other bank, ask for the date it raised the request and the reference, so you can quote it if you escalate.
Pryme shows the recipient's name before you send, which is the best defence against a wrong transfer, and nothing moves until you approve it. Account security uses an authenticator app and a transaction PIN rather than SMS codes; see security.
Where the bank caused the error, the CBN's 2018 regulation (as summarised) requires reversal within one business day of a request made within 14 working days. Failed card transactions have 24 to 48 hour windows under a 2020 circular.
Not without the recipient's consent. The receiving bank can place a lien for up to two weeks while it asks; if the recipient refuses, internal auditors mediate and then the complaint or legal route applies.
Under the 2020 CBN circular, failures at your own bank's ATM should be reversed instantly or within 24 hours, and at another bank's ATM within 48 hours. Some banks publish longer periods; cite the circular if so.
After you have complained to the bank and allowed two weeks, write to the CBN Consumer Protection Department with your complaint reference and evidence.
