2018OjirehPrime Card

2023Multicurrency

2026Agentic operations

Questions

The things people ask us first.

What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.

Can I hold dollars, pounds and euros in a Pryme account?

Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.

What is Spaces?

Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.

What do the agents on a Pryme Business Account do?

Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.

How does Pryme Pay work?

Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.

What are Savings Boxes?

Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.

Who holds my money, and is it protected?

Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.

Can I build on Pryme?

Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives you one account that holds US dollars, pounds sterling and euros beside Naira, with an assistant that runs the account for you and asks before anything moves. Accounts are provided in Nigeria today, and further markets open as each licence lands.

Can I open a Pryme account from outside Nigeria?

Accounts are provided in Nigeria today, subject to verification and approval. Foreign-currency balances are held and converted inside that account, so you can hold, receive and swap dollars, pounds and euros wherever you are.

Which currencies can I hold with Pryme?

Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros, side by side on one ledger. Each has its own details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area — and each has its own statement.

How do I send money to Nigeria with Pryme?

Swap at a rate you set rather than the rate of the day, then send to any Pryme username or to a Nigerian bank account. There is no fee to send to another Pryme account.

What does the assistant do?

Eva is the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals, pays what is due and follows up what is owed to you — and asks you before anything moves.

What is Pryme Rails?

Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Airtel night and weekend plans: hours and codes

Airtel night data hours, codes and reported prices, what is known about weekend plans, and how to stop PAYU charges when the window closes.

The short answer

Airtel's night plan, as reported by AndroidPols in July 2025, works from 12:00 AM to 5:00 AM and is bought through *312# or *412#, with unused data expiring at 5:00 AM. Airtel's FAQ does not document the plan or a current weekend bundle, so check *312# for what is offered today and opt out of PAYU with *400*1#.

Timed data plans give you more data for the money in exchange for a restriction: you can only use them during certain hours or on certain days. They suit people who download large files, update apps or stream late at night, and they waste money for anyone who buys them and then sleeps through the window. This guide sets out what is documented about Airtel's night plan, what is not, and how to avoid paying for data you cannot use.

Airtel night plan: hours and codes

Airtel's own FAQ, which we checked in October 2026, does not set out a night plan. The details below come from AndroidPols, a Nigerian tech site, in an article dated 5 July 2025. Treat them as reported, not as Airtel's official terms, and confirm on *312# before buying.

DetailAs reported by AndroidPols (July 2025)
Usable hours12:00 AM to 5:00 AM
Codes*312# (data menu) or *412# (direct night code)
Price on a regular tariff₦50 for 250MB
Price on SmartTRYBE₦25 for 250MB
Balance check*140# sends an SMS with the night balance
Unused dataExpires at 5:00 AM; no carry-over

AndroidPols also reports that you can buy the 250MB pack more than once in the same night if you have the airtime, and that the plan can be bought through the Airtel Thanks (MyAirtel) app under Buy Data. It recommends confirming terms on Airtel's site, because prices and regional terms vary.

Worked example

Example only, using the July 2025 figures above. Four 250MB packs make 1GB. On a regular tariff that is 4 × ₦50 = ₦200; on SmartTRYBE it is 4 × ₦25 = ₦100. Before you stack packs, check whether you actually use 1GB between midnight and 5:00 AM: if half of it is unused when the window closes, your real cost per GB doubles.

Weekend plans

We could not find a current Airtel weekend plan on Airtel's own pages or on a source we could open in October 2026. Networks introduce and withdraw weekend bundles as promotions, so a code that worked last year may now return an error or a different offer. The reliable way to find one is to dial *312# and look through the bundle types; Airtel's FAQ says *312# shows all the data bundles available on the network. If a weekend option is listed, the menu shows its price, volume and validity before you confirm.

How timed plans differ from regular bundles

  • Validity window: a regular daily, weekly or monthly plan can be used at any hour; a night plan only inside its window.
  • Grace periods: Airtel's FAQ says regular bundles get a grace period after expiry (7 days for monthly, 3 for weekly, 1 for daily) in which renewing the same bundle rolls the unused data over. The night plan, as reported, has no carry-over.
  • Balance codes: regular data shows on *323#, with the expiry date. Night data may show separately; AndroidPols reports *140# for it.
  • Binge plans: Airtel's FAQ lists Binge as a bundle type with its own code pattern (*312*2*amount*1#). These are short, high-value bundles rather than hour-restricted ones.

Avoiding surprise charges

When a timed plan runs out, or the window closes, your phone may fall back to pay-as-you-use (PAYU) data from your airtime. Airtel's FAQ gives *400*1# to opt out of PAYU browsing, and says choosing 'Stop my data' at activation avoids PAYU charges after a bundle depletes. On SmartTALK, Airtel lists PAYG data at ₦4.6/MB, as checked in October 2026, which is far more expensive than any bundle.

  1. Before midnight, start the downloads or updates you want to run, set to Wi-Fi-only off for that session.
  2. Opt out of PAYU with *400*1# so a finished bundle does not eat your airtime.
  3. Check what is left with *323# (and *140# for night data, if it applies).
  4. Turn off background app updates before 5:00 AM, or they will move on to your regular data.

For the cost of everyday bundles, see Airtel data plan prices; for auto-renewal, see cancelling Airtel auto-renewal.

Who a night plan suits, and who it does not

A night plan works best for predictable, heavy, non-urgent use: downloading a film or course videos to watch later, phone and app updates, cloud photo backups, or a large work file. Schedule the task, plug in the phone and let it run. It suits students and freelancers who are up late anyway, and households that share a phone hotspot overnight.

It suits you poorly if most of your data goes on WhatsApp, social media and browsing during the day, because nothing you buy at midnight helps at noon. For that pattern, a regular weekly or monthly bundle with its grace period usually gives a lower real cost per GB used, even if the headline price per GB looks higher.

What to check first

  • Will you really be online between midnight and 5:00 AM?
  • Is the device set to download large updates automatically?
  • Is PAYU off, so you are not charged after the window?
  • What tariff are you on? Night prices reported for SmartTRYBE differ from other tariffs.

Where Pryme fits

You can buy Airtel airtime and data from a Pryme account and keep a record of what you spend. See airtime and data on Pryme, and our guide to stopping waste on airtime and data.

Questions people ask

What time does Airtel night plan start and end?

AndroidPols reported in July 2025 that Airtel night data works from 12:00 AM to 5:00 AM. Airtel's own FAQ does not set out the plan, so confirm on *312#.

What is the code for Airtel night plan?

AndroidPols reports *412# as the direct code and *312# as the data menu that includes night browsing. Check the menu for the current offer and price.

Does Airtel have a weekend data plan?

We could not confirm a current weekend plan in October 2026. Dial *312# to see the bundle types available on your line.

Why did my airtime go after my night data finished?

Your line may have switched to pay-as-you-use data. Airtel's FAQ says you can opt out of PAYU browsing by dialling *400*1#.
