Questions

The things people ask us first.

What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.

Can I hold dollars, pounds and euros in a Pryme account?

Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.

What is Spaces?

Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.

What do the agents on a Pryme Business Account do?

Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.

How does Pryme Pay work?

Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.

What are Savings Boxes?

Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.

Who holds my money, and is it protected?

Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.

Can I build on Pryme?

Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives you one account that holds US dollars, pounds sterling and euros beside Naira, with an assistant that runs the account for you and asks before anything moves. Accounts are provided in Nigeria today, and further markets open as each licence lands.

Can I open a Pryme account from outside Nigeria?

Accounts are provided in Nigeria today, subject to verification and approval. Foreign-currency balances are held and converted inside that account, so you can hold, receive and swap dollars, pounds and euros wherever you are.

Which currencies can I hold with Pryme?

Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros, side by side on one ledger. Each has its own details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area — and each has its own statement.

How do I send money to Nigeria with Pryme?

Swap at a rate you set rather than the rate of the day, then send to any Pryme username or to a Nigerian bank account. There is no fee to send to another Pryme account.

What does the assistant do?

Eva is the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals, pays what is due and follows up what is owed to you — and asks you before anything moves.

What is Pryme Rails?

Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Banking how-tos

How to get an Access Bank statement on AccessMore or email

How to request an Access Bank statement in the app or by email, what the CBN fee rules say, and when you need a stamped copy from a branch.

The short answer

You can request an Access Bank statement in the AccessMore app or by emailing ContactCenter@accessbankplc.com from your registered address with your account number and date range; a stamped or embassy statement needs a branch request. Under the CBN's 2026 draft charges guide, monthly statements and statements for personal use are free, while special printed statements are capped at ₦20 per page and an electronic statement sent to a third party at ₦200.

A bank statement is the record most Nigerians need for visas, loans, rent applications and tax. Access Bank offers more than one way to get one, and which you choose depends on who will read it. A PDF for your own records is different from a stamped statement for an embassy or a statement sent directly to a lender.

Three kinds of statement

TypeBest forHow
Self-service e-statementYour own budgeting, checking chargesAccessMore app or online banking
Emailed statement on requestWhen the app does not cover the period you needEmail ContactCenter@accessbankplc.com from your registered email
Stamped or signed statementEmbassies, some employers, courtsRequest at a branch
Statement sent to a third partyLoan and visa checks that require bank-to-recipient deliveryRequest through the bank's statement service; ask which services Access Bank supports

Getting a statement in AccessMore

Access Bank's public help pages we opened in October 2026 do not set out the AccessMore statement steps, and menus change with app updates. In most Nigerian banking apps the route is the same in outline:

  1. Log in to AccessMore and open the account you want.
  2. Look for 'Statement', 'Account statement' or 'Transaction history' under the account or in the menu.
  3. Choose a start and end date. Pick a period that covers exactly what the recipient asked for, such as six months.
  4. Choose PDF if offered, and confirm the email address it will go to.
  5. Authorise with your PIN or token if asked, then check your inbox and spam folder.

If the option is missing, update the app first. If the app will not log in at all, see AccessMore app fixes.

The PDF password

Banks often protect emailed statement PDFs with a password. Access Bank does not state its password format on the pages we checked. Read the covering email, which normally explains it. Never forward the password together with the PDF to a third party you do not trust, and never send it to anyone who contacts you claiming to be from the bank.

What you should pay

The CBN published a draft Guide to Charges by Banks and Other Financial Institutions on 21 April 2026, with comments due by 8 May 2026. As summarised by Candide-Johnson, it says:

  • Monthly account statements, printed or electronic, are free.
  • Electronic statements for personal use are free.
  • Special printed statements are capped at ₦20 per page.
  • An electronic statement for delivery to a third party is capped at ₦200.

Those figures are from the 2026 exposure draft, so check whether the final guide has taken effect and what Access Bank's current charge is before you request a stamped copy. TechCabal also reported the draft in April 2026.

Worked example

Example only, applying the draft cap. A six-month statement for a busy account runs to 25 printed pages. At the ₦20 per-page cap, a special printed statement would cost at most 25 × ₦20 = ₦500. The same period as a self-service PDF for your own use would cost nothing.

Statements for visas and loans

Embassies, lenders and landlords each want slightly different things. A visa officer usually wants several months of history showing regular income and the source of a large balance. A lender wants to see salary credits and existing loan repayments. A landlord wants evidence you can pay rent. In each case, the safest statement is one the recipient can trust came from the bank unaltered, which is why many ask for stamped copies or for the statement to be sent directly to them. Our guides to the UK visitor visa bank statement and statements for loan applications go into detail.

Business accounts

For a business account, the statement request normally has to come from an authorised signatory, and a stamped statement may need a signed letter on company letterhead. Ask the branch what Access Bank requires for your account mandate.

What to check first

  • Is your registered email address current? The statement goes there, not to an address you type.
  • Does the recipient need it stamped, or will a PDF do? Ask before paying for printed pages.
  • Does the period match the request exactly, including the most recent weeks?
  • Does the name on the statement match your passport or ID? Mismatches cause visa delays.

Recipients increasingly check whether statements have been edited. Our guides to stamped versus verifiable statements and how doctored statements are caught explain why.

Finally, request statements early. Branch requests for stamped copies can take longer than a self-service PDF, and a visa or loan deadline is the worst time to find that your registered email or phone number is out of date.

Where Pryme fits

Pryme customers can generate a regular or a verifiable statement through Pryme's partnership with VerifyDoc.ai, and anyone receiving a verifiable one can check it is genuine and unaltered. See receipts and statements.

Questions people ask

How do I get my Access Bank statement on my phone?

Use the statement or transaction history option in AccessMore, choose your dates and PDF format, and it is sent to your registered email. If you cannot find it, update the app or email the contact centre.

How much does Access Bank charge for a statement?

The CBN's 2026 draft guide says monthly and personal-use e-statements are free, special printed statements up to ₦20 per page and third-party e-statements up to ₦200. Confirm Access Bank's current charge before you request.

What is the password for Access Bank statement PDF?

Access Bank does not publish the format on the help pages we checked. The covering email normally explains it; ask the contact centre if it does not.

Can I get an Access Bank statement by email without going to the branch?

Yes for a regular statement: email ContactCenter@accessbankplc.com from your registered email with your account number and date range. Stamped statements usually need a branch.
